So is the theory they'll fall into the pail and be trapped? Or gorge themselves to death by feasting in bird seed once trapped. This sounds intrguing, but we've stored bird seed in 5 gallon pails b4 and those mice get in there and then when they want out they'll chew right through the plastic and make an exit hole. That just happened once tho. Great idea tho!

I use that method in my shed. But mine has a used slider that ramps up to the bucket, with a plastic jar on a dowel. The mice go up the slider, try to get the peanut butter on the jar, the jar turns and into the bucket they go! And I put antifreeze in the bottom of the bucket. Preserves the mice in the summer so they don't stink and doesn't freeze in the winter. Works great. In 1 year I have over 60 kills. I know, I'm a pyscho for keeping track....

X2 This works good
You can also use moth balls on your sled and they will stay away.

If you really want to torcher them, take a piece of steel, brick or rock and prop it up with a cheese doodle. Now thats what is called eating yourself to death.

We use this method in our camp and sugarbush. We get more mice with this than any trap or d-con on the market. Sometimes 10 in one night... Only problem is if you don't allready have them you are attracting them with the bait... But if your killing them all I guess it dosn't matter much...

Works good, the only year I have done something different I had one eat my K&N for me. Rrrtrrrrrrr.
If you have a rabbit issue like me, I used a 5 gallon bucket and dig a hole in the area they are in. Fill with fly pallets and a cup of coke bait the area and away they go. (Also works on cat) learn that one the hard way. They don't get far if they get out.

I tried dryer sheet's in my Mustang and the little bastard's $hit on them. I like the bucket idea but make sure if you use antifreeze that other animal's that you don't want dead can't get to it!

Moth Balls are supposed to keep them away.
My buddies in there cabin use a 5 gallon pale with a board rap upto in and put a few inches of antifreeze in the pail and on top the put a rod across sticking through a popcan with peanutbutter on it.When they step on the can they roll right into the antifreeze.
