Rs 90 vector gr
Hi everyone I Recently purchased a 2010 rs vector gt . The sled was serviced by Yamaha every year. Rode it twice then the starter went bad. That was a job!!! Put everything back together and now the sled won’t move. Ugh!!! So far I tried removing drive belt and turned secondary clutch and the track turns freely. Checked alignment between the primary and secondary. Checked the free play on the secondary. The primary is pulling in from what I can tell at the correct rpm. Checked the belt wasn’t sitting to high or to low in secondary. The motor revs to the point that it starts to smoke the belt so it does not seem to be a power problem. If I put it on a stand and the track turns until it is sitting on the ground then it stops moving. Not sure what I am missing. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all

new spring in the primary and a new belt as the one on it might be glazed. springs get weak over time.

Tried the new belt. No luck... Did not see anything binding track up. I did notice tonight that it will go in reverse but very slow and it will go forward very slowly if u are standing beside the sled but as soon as there is any weight it stops. Don’t have a spring to rebuild primary. Clutch rebuild might be in line next. I am just not sure why it was fine before I changed the starter but now it’s not. I feel like I missed something or I didn’t put something back together right. lol

Did you set the parking brake?

Sorry been stuck at work. No the parking brake was not on and the clutch bolt is tight.

Thanks everyone for the help. I am glad to say the sled moves. As much as I did not think it was a power problem that’s what it was. Ripped everything back off to triple check everything and decided to change plugs while I could get to them and there it was. Put everything back together and started it. Instantly I could tell there was a difference. First four stroke sled so learning with this one as I go. Will be putting to the test tomorrow. Hoping there is not another problem. This sled seems to idle at around 2000 rpm at start up for a few minutes then drops to around 1300 does anyone know if this is normal?

normal for it to drop after warmed up. how i could tell my rx was rdy to ride lol.
