here we go.... doing some updates to the old girl! apex seat,risers,rear cooler,hauck air kit, new track and shock rebuilt, tunnel stiffeners, led's and led brake light. possibly more? will post pics of progress... heres the start.
more pics as time goes on.

yeah, great start.. I have the same sled so I am very curious so see how it turns out.

so we've been a little busy with this thing running 5some l.e.d.'s , hooking up the toggle switch on the dash, just got my rox 3.5 risers from rich. threw them on last night , now i need cable extensions and i think i might have to go with a lower windshield but i really don't want too. bad part is my hand guards will not fit and be able to turn all the way with this windshield....... still some time to think about it!

got a couple more hours of work in it on sat. afternoon. hooked up and wired 4 front l.e.d.'s, wired up rear brake led night rider strip and mounted seat back on.

saturday we went to highlands yamaha bought a ton of stuff including a new snow flap and new low windy. spent 7 hours working on this thing on sunday. rear heat exchanger(rich motorsports), running board stiffeners(grade thrasher),windy, powermad's, put everything back together. was a great afternoon and it is all coming together! oh yeah, also my new skinz cover , also from rich.

making good progress sleddhead.... when taking a step back how does the blue flap look in your opinion? I am wondering how it would look versus the black. Where did you buy yours? are they selling them in the u.s. now?

dex, flap looks pretty cool... a litle wierd because everything in back of the sled is black but i am really starting to like it.
i just bought it at my local dealer, asked him if a flap from an '07 rage would fit my'04 he said yes and all he had in was blue, so i took it! lol....it is pretty cool!

You may want to put some protectors on your heat exchanger cuz me and my buddy did rip some Fins off the exchanger. Do a search on it you be amaze never think the track will go all the way up there it does! Just helping you out.

thanks for the heads up BigGuy! i have been looking at that stuff and will be heading to lowes or menards to find some aluminum tubing to try and make something up. i won't go to home depot anymore because they are going to toyota next year in the cup series.lol..... did you just fabricate your own protectors? i really don't think there is anything i can buy, right?

My buddy makes some up for me he has some 3/4 aluminum square tubing I beleive so. I am not sure where he bought them or got it from maybe his work?? but it is a must beleive it or not you will damage the fins! Good luck making some up make sure it is thick enough cuz I think he put 1/4 flat stock aluminum also to give 1 " clearance. Hope this helps.
