I have seen nearly 500km/hr when my father did his chain case oil , didn't have a sensor plugged in properly, unfortunately it adds on the km relative to the speed on the dash

Most of us have seen this when the speedo sensor glue fails on the outside of the chaincase/oil case!
Yes, it sure does add mileage to the odometer fast when that appears.

This is actually my boss' sled. He bought a used low mileage unit a year ago and is just now racking up some miles. Had the speedo sensor fall off and was re-attached as you guys have described. He showed me that today. We both got a big laugh out of it.Most of us have seen this when the speedo sensor glue fails on the outside of the chaincase/oil case!

We discussed that. Unfortunately, backing it up under "supervised" conditions could be difficult! You better call Guinness.........think you might have world record!!!!!
We'd need a REALLY long stretch of ice and a VERY GENEROUS tailwind!
Although, I recently saw news video footage of what they called a snow-nado. THAT would probably do the trick.
The rider of said machine COULD genuinely be considered a PILOT!
