I'm hoping your right sledroll. My 2005 Rx1 bullet proof, 2011 Apex same and ride them hard. I took a leap of faith betting on the same. That Yamaha has had a few years get the kinks out of the chassis while introducing a great motor. Fingers crossed. If not....... shee gone! Just like my 2007 Nitro. Sayonara!
Right on ! You just reminded me that I too had a 2007 Nytro , that I got rid of pretty quick , and completely forgot about !
That sled had platform issues , big time dangerous at times, like just when you least expect it !!!!
The RX-1 , had some handling issues , not as severe , but that's where I got my handle Sledroll , that was fixed on the Apex.
So it appaears that most of Yammies issues have been with their platforms , that they built themselves ! HMMMMMMMM ????
So maybe it is better to let someone , who is better on platforms , or atleast has a proven platform , to take care of that part of the equation ??????

This was just posted over in HCS. Picture was taken at he AC TRF plant. Sidewinder mountain chassis are rolling down the line. As I responded, the combination of snow in the forecast for Colorado and that pic, the mountain guys are not going to be able to sleep!!

Exactly. That thing(Nytro) was so hyped up by Y and the magazines and the 1st day I had it going at speed that machine did some things I never experienced on a sled before. My buddy, who raced snow cross even said it was nuts in the corners. RX had ski lift but predicable and I can go flat out on it. In fact i still do. You bring up a great second point. Say what you want about Cat quality and there have been many issues...we have towed back our share over the years. But they have never been accused, in recent times, of not handling well ( i.e. ZR, F - 6, 7 etc). The mags raved about suspension and handling so maybe you have it dead on. Y builds the engines, improves overall quality and Cat designs chassis each focused on their own strengths. Works for me. Can't wait for sidewinder to coil up and strike!!

I am pretty sure I will get the first one . serial # 000001 !
As I included this request with my spring order , and they have never let me down .
Also I have been pretty much guaranteed my sled will also be , the coolest , and fastest of all Sidewinders built !!!!!!!
Hurry , some body throw a pail of cold water on me , as I am starting to froth !
Now its all coming back to me .
First ride ever going straight , it basically bucked my son off , and gouged the left side of the sled .
When he brought it back , was I pissed , and didn't believe him until I experienced it myself .
That sled didn't need to wait for corners , it was an equal opportunity provider of too much peril anytime !
I bought that sled for him to get on Yamaha , with a ditch banger , as it was promoted.
Goodbye Nytro , hello Polaris race sleds . Should of gone that route in the first place , but wanted to get him on Yamaha .
He still has the Polaris race sled , but his new love is the Arctic Cat race sled which he is running on snow , and now on water .
There is a lot of sameness on that sled and the new Sidewinder LTX -LE , that I bought .

To date that has been my experience bullet proof motor / drivetrain and Good ride and handling. My 15 had no loose clamps, leaks or other issues noted in the complaints about the 14s - this was a small selected sample as well. Over all very pleased.
