I think the quality control at the factory has a bit to do with it as well... Hence the reason some are able to run 95-100 mph and some are only seeing 85mph.... Just judging by the rest of the quality control issues with these machines that I myself have found with mine that seem to be fairly common, it would not surprise me at all to see other issues performance wise be different sled to sled i.e. Clutch alignment, shaft alignment that sort of thing.... Another thing is where guys are tapping these things out.... Yes it should be able to do it in snow not arguing that, my argument would be if you want to see the top speed of your sled, go down to a smooth plowed ice strip (radar track) and then run it.... Snow conditions obviously are going to affect a machine, eliminate that so that can't be argued.... I had an srx that on snow would do maybe 107mph, throw it on ice, same setup and everything and I was seeing 118mph. Now if you are running down the ice on s viper and your only doing 85mph then I would start looking into things, clutching, rpm all that stuff.... Hey just my opinion.... But one thing I do agree with is a sled that's making over 180 hp should be able to hit 130.... Look at the old thundercats and Mach z 1000s, in around that ballpark on hp and able to doing between 120-130 mph running proper rpm and set up
