When I rode a prototype SR Viper last season the fuel maps were off, had a hard time starting and overall were lacking power.
Has anyone confirmed that the production units are indeed mapped correctly?

Play the video and you will hear and see an Orange ZR 7000. I spent three days with the Yamaha prototypes at Larry's in north west MI and must say these sleds appear to be close to production configuration sleds. Think they have the mapping very close if not nailed. The 7000 sounds almost like a two stroke, riding with a ZR6000.

They were here testing in the mountains well into May last winter and was just told by my dealer they are here now putting some final tweaks on them.
Would also love to hear a ride report from someone this year.

Looks like Fairbanks is going to be -20 by Wednesday! You may be one of the first to get a ride! Perhaps you could com your dealer into a 1/2 day trial so you could give is a quickie review!

I tried they said they will not be demoing any this year as they have just a handful to sell.
I'm waiting on a few ride reviews and if I like what I hear I will pick one up as I am sledless now.here is a vid I took of mine today. It starts right up. If their was mapping issues it seems to be gone.

Sounds great, seems to have a nice tone, heard that D&D has dyno'd a XF 7000 at 132 hp stock with few miles and after a little more break-in they pulled over 142 Hp with a Barker exhaust.
AC is also thinking about using the 7000 as their XC racing steed see the arctic insider articles about their racing program.
In the spring AC said the 7000 put a few sled lengths on their new 6000 and many length on their 5000 in informal tests.
The real questions are how well has Yamaha tuned the suspension and how have they mitigated any actual or perceived shortcomings in the AC systems.
To be continued as we learn more!

Hard to say on the suspension for sure but from what I can tell going it over with the dealer they just used Ac's suspension. At Haydays I was told by the yamaha guys that it would be the yamaha dual runner skis but it looks like the ski's are Ac's.
