I saw a picture somewhere today that shows the track of the new SRX. It looked like it has the pattern showing, I would just use that. No need to measure or use template, just drill where all the markers are. It showed a combination of singles and doubles.

Did you notice if there were quiet bumps on the inside? I am guessing none.

can anyone confirm if yamaha is using the ripsaw 1 quit track ? i have never used this track personally , i have always used the ripsaw 2 track which does not have the quit little bumps on the track , can anyone explain the difference of these 2 tracks ? is one better then the other ?

Is a silent drive really silent compared to a full clip regular ripsaw2?

It will be a ripsaw 2 - 1" fully clipped and I'm sure it will have the quiet pads
to me looking at the pictures it sure looks like the ripsaw 1 , can anyone explain whats with the quiet pads ? anyone I talk to says it does nothing , also talked to Yamaha dealers and they also say they don't understand the purpose of the quiet pads either . :dunno:

Makes the track quieter. Ride a sled without that track and you will see(hear). Might actually even be better for top speeds, who knows. At every row of lugs there is a fiberglass rod in the track, the idler weels make noise when they hit this rod, and it makes a noise/hum. The quiet pads are like little ramps before this rod, so there is less of an impact when the idler wheel goes over it. If a Yamaha dealer doesnt understand something as simple as that, not sure if they should be in the snowmbobile business.

Every magazine test rider says rip 1. Pic is a rip 1. So i believe its a rip 1.

I think this is a mistake, not the 1'' track I would prefer. Poor choice from Yamacat.

Swap to a rip 2 - 1" without the bumps.....
