hey guys,
so on my yamaha rx1 there is alot of play is the steering, the bars move a good 3 inches before the skis will start to move, i have talked to people on the trail and they told me that it was the front bushings? Is this true? if so i saw another post on an apex how to install but still did not get if it was a big job or not? anyone no if thats the problem?

Not nessesarily the front end bushings, mine did the same thing so I replaced the a arm and bulkhead bushings but it didn't make a difference. Also check all the bushings in your steering system. Thats where my problem was, I changed them and the problem went away. Either way it may be worth it to change the front end bushings to.

so after looking i dont think it is the bushings but the a arms have soooooooo much play so i was taking the bolt out to replace the front end bushings and the bolts are bent! bad! i had to hammer it out! why would this be bent? also the bushings are gone. if someone has some pics of ware all the bushings are that would help me out as well.
thanks guys.

Look here, under the "find parts by model" section, fill out the drop sections for the sled you have and look under the front suspenssion. For the bulkhead bushings I think you have to look under the frame section.

Ulmer has the oilite front end bushings and OFT has the oilite steering blocks this will take care of 80% of your slop.
