Stiffer springs for Phazer FX

Hello!

I have a problem with my FX. I think the end sags as soon as I sit on it, and it gets worse when snow gets stuck in the tunnel. Can I modify Mountain Lite springs to fit my FX?

I was also thinking of getting either a spring spacer or a overload adjustment block to get my stock springs stiffer. But I cant seem to find any of theese :/

have you had the shock serviced lately? it does affect how easy they compress. you did turn the spring tension adjuster for the torsion springs up to hard as well?

I have the non adjustable rear shock, and I just bought one from a RTX i think. Its both gas and oil shock combined into one. But its being rebuild as we speak. Well I guess it could contribute to the problem, but even if i jump off I need to raise the back by hand in order for it to settle a little bit higher.

yes like cannondale said, some sag is normal on a yamaha. all my sleds do this no matter how fresh the suspension is.

FX has the stiffest springs they came with.

If it's sticking down a lot, you might have a bent cross shaft

I think I remember someone mentioning that pulling the shafts out and cleaning out the old grease helps free up the suspension. Maybe using a very light grease, like white lithium, that won't harden too much in the cold might help.

As someone else said, FX springs are the stiffest factory springs, there were a few sets of "race" springs floating around from Yamaha's racing efforts. Also note the Phazer has 16" of rear travel, more than any other sled on market, so it's going to have a significant about of sag at rest if the suspension is setup properly (rear bumper should drop about 4-5" from full extension to you sitting on it)
