just wondering who put on aftermarket skis and who stuck with the stock ones.i ordered an 07 attack gt and i am wondering if ill have to put some c&a's on like on my 03 rx1.

Yes get some new skis..

C@As are great...

I bought a set of BRP Pilot skis for my apex.. SEEMS to be the rave right now.. Although i havent gotton the chance to use mine yet!

The attack skis are basically the same as the old Rx-1 skis..

I just purchased a set of Ski-Doo Pilot skis. I have read great reviews on these skis for trail riding. They cure the darting, are easy to steer and do not push in the corners. The only negative issues I have ever read about with these skis are possible durability issues and poor performance in deep snow. There are a few posts on the TY site and the Doo Talk site regarding the durability issues. I have friends in the ski-doo service sector and I have contacted all of them regarding the durability issue, one is a service manager. All deny any of the durability issues I have read about.

Simmons! Nothing else or ever again on any sled I will ever own and that is no lie. If you have not ridden with them before then you have absolutely no idea. They are absolutely unbelievable. I can't say enough about them. They totally changed riding for me the year I got my first set in 2001. Never rode without in the last 5 seasons and never will again no matter what. On trail and Off. Un f---ing believable

Did you shim your pilot skis?

Are those yamaha loops i seen on them?

What size carbides are you running.. I bought a set of 6 inchers for the centers and am going to run the 4 inchers on the outsides..

I have a set of Slydog Powderhounds waiting here in my garage for my 07 Attak to arrive. They're sitting in the corner right next to the 1.5 inch lug Intense track. I obviously can't comment on how the combo handles yet, but based on few people I've talked to who share my mostly off-trail riding tendencies, I know for sure I won't waste a single ride on the stock setup...so everyone look for a pair of brand new OEM skis and 1.25 Ripsaw on Ebay next fall...

If I was going to ride mostly groomed trails, I think I'd be willing to give the stock setup a try, though.

Mine had a wicked dart, Allan came out with this as a fix, they come from Bergstrom and I believe is now standard with the ski. It fits over the keel and is recessed where the carbide goes on so half the carbide shaft is now exposed. Most have said it fixed the problem but mine came after the snow went so could not try. They are less than $20.

What mods did you do to put the Pilot Ski's on. I may just go that route on my Vector. Have horrible darting . Have put the Ski Savers on but haven't shimmed yet.

They are the Ski-Doo handles and you don't need to shim them. The way the Ski-Doo rubber mounting blocks are designed, when installed on an Apex they automatically push the back of the ski down as if you had shimmed them.

Hey... Craze... what made you go with the Intense track vs the 1.5 Ripsaw? I see that the Intense Track is clipped every 3rd... is every hole punched. I need every hole open as I will be switching to extro drivers when I do the track change. (you are going to have the exact same sled as me... except mine will have the electro shock!)

Thanks in advance,
Keith M.
