What RPM are you guys getting for clutch engagement on your Vipers? I am looking for stock Viper with stock clutching/spring, not any turbo sleds or aftermarket soft springs. I running the 8JP belt.

Mines an 18' and engages around 4500
I average right around 3000 rpm but its very had to read and it depends on if its on stand or snow etc. Its low enough to easily and safely creep into a trailer or up to the gas pump.

Anyone know what the Barn of parts "soft start" spring rates are? start and finish rates compared to the stock viper spring? Thinking about getting one as long as it has a final rate of the stock viper spring.... I have never seen them posted .

Well Travis figured it out so he deserves the sales.

For sure! was going to order one for sure from him, just looking to know the final rate so that would not mess up my clutching at full shift.Well Travis figured it out so he deserves the sales.

I don't know the final rate but when I bought mine it lowered my engagement and my final rpm was still right around 8900-9000 so it was very close. Then I started using a different belt so now I have to do some more clutch work.

Put my barn of parts soft spring on. Grabs at 2900 - 3200 now, was grabbing at 3900 -4200 before. Much easier to move at low speeds now. Not a noticeable difference at the top end. Running a stock belt.

my 201 rtx grabbed the belt at bout 4500, after BOP spring its much lower I did loose a bit of RPM on top and the sled feels a bit less crisp when you punch it at say 30 mph. still worth it IMHO as before it was a real bear on tight slow trails , getting on trailer etc.

Installed my BOP soft spring today, engages at around 3000 rpm were it engaged at 3600 rpm with the stock spring. Max RPM on tack recall is the same at 9240 as it was before. very happy with it.
