In the middle of drilling for 144 studs but thinking after tune it will not be enough!!! Should I drill the outside for 192?
Pattern for 144 is 2 4 inside 2 doubles 2 singles
192 studs added to outside
100% trail rider
Putting on snow trackers carbides so push is no issue

I felt like stock with a 4-2 Pattern of 1.45"s i could get transfer and even lift the front end. After it was tuned it would just spin the track more often than not. I am NOT a big guy so i don't have much ballast.
It is probably in the clutching to an extent, But I'm going to 192 1.57"s this season.

Yes, not too keen on the adjuster design. However, I'm willing to bet more cracked by tightening the rear axle and then cranking the adjuster tight against it.

I ran 192 and did 128 mph no issues... It's all about a balanced pattern...

I would never run that many...forget trying to keep track from ballooning with that much weight. These adjusters are junk remember.

Dan

You would never run 192 studs ?

I like that pattern, all around the rails where the weight of the sled is actually put to the ground

I would do a better pattern this time around.. At that time there were no tunnel protectors so I chose to stay out of the center 3.5" ... But yes... You are correct

No....I trail ride and like to turn. This chassie already is prone to push, Installing studs outside of rails, in long length and big quantities is not my idea of a fun trail sled that can run thru tight twisties. Drag racing on lakes or big wide open trails not so bad, but for very agressive agile riding thru turns, 3/bar up the center is max.

Its all about studding for your style of riding and type of trails.

Disagree but that's ok. Set up properly with 192 these sleds are on rails.

Dan rides trails that aren’t normally a Sidewinder’s forte...so he wants traction but not overly so. So in that case I can understand his reasoning.

For me...I ride in N. Maine and it’s certainly Sidewinder/Thundercat country..so for me I want quite a bit(180 to be exact on my 129). I don’t find mine pushing at all...I have quite a bit of carbide upfront too. And my trails are big and fast and long.
