Did anybody else notice that Supertrax hasn't posted a thing about the Yamaha release???
Today they posted a review of the Thundercat...but nothing on the Cat line-up or Yamaha line up.
I read as many reviews as I can find to get a more rounded idea of what the media is thinking
It's kinda strange as Supertrax has really been pro Yamaha for awhile now.

I used always call that magazine Cat trax. But that was when CJR was the editor being he was a big Cat guy.

You can barely understand the old dude ( the father) anyways with his big words and such, you almost need a lawyers degree to understand him anyways. They promote mostly one brand and there sled of the year consists of votes within there company of test riders, which in my opinion is not viable. I think there show is a joke along with there favorite sled manufacture.
Sorry but they just get under my skin !!!!

They didn't even mention who makes the new turbo engine in the TCat review. They were all over the Doo release, Polaris not as much, Cat almost nothing, Yamaha does not exist.

Their show is really just a 30 minute long commercial.

Got to be the worst sled show on t.v., they claim it's the most watched I guess that's why TSN in Canada dropped the show a few years ago and now there on Oln .Half the show is about these clowns trail riding or trying to ride the mountains.AJ is so pro ski scrap it's believable I really don' t understand why the other 3 bother sponsoring it, I 'll take snowmobiler tv any day over there totally biased scrap. John Massenberg must be turning in his grave to see how they butchered his show

I understand what you guys are saying...but honestly...when mags like snowgoer, and snow tech were bashing yamaha...only supertrax, and max sled had positive yamaha reviews.....once in awhile am snow likes a yamaha...but mostly the sno mo rags have been giddy about two stroke releases...and ignore the 4 strokes...I figured supertrax would totally blow their wad over the sidewinder...just strange that there is nothing.

IMO all the magazines are a joke. Brand bias- we know whoo- poorly written articles and general subjective feedback. And silly, too short drag races.
I want to see comparison/shootout articles with specifically defined tests and criteria. Including rolling start races and 1/2 mile or mile pulls. The best test I have ever seen was an OSM mag shootout a few years ago. Every aspect of the sleds was evaluated and scored.

Doesn't it really boil down to how much advertising $$$ the various manufacturers spend with any rag? That what it has always seemed like to me.

Btw...I don't mean it in a negative way at all....back when I was a younger buck...I did my fair share of drinking with some folks from winnepeg, and ontario....it's the only experience I have with Canadians...let's just say...drinking, fighting, and trashing hotel rooms was what they were good at....fun, fun, fun...the stories I could tell...lol
