RED said:www.holzracingproducts.com for the holz skid. Them other skid is actually called K-mod, bullydog is a dealer fot it. You can get hold of Kevin at 1-208-681-0348. The RX1 skid is 1050 usd. You will reuse your front shock and lower bracket. The holz comes with a different center shock, maybe that why its a little more. Both skids are pretty much the same thing. Not sure if the Holz really drops 34lbs, since 8lbs is in getting rid of the stock yami brackets, which would put it about 24lbs, same as K-mod claims, Tundra said his down 21.5lbs, so pretty close to advertised.
Thanks for the good info RED.

but, stil, does any of those skids provide more SUSPENSION? i see they're light weight and maybe has better transfer, but, i need more suspension when riding to get TO the hills. Dont think i need all te same qualities as you guys need, as we dont have all those INSANE chutes as some of you have.
Thanks, Mr Bull

The m10w2 is the smoothest riding skid on the market but its ment for climbing so it might not be as good of a all around skid as liek the holz. The holz is suposed to be smoother and a good all around skid for jumping esc.

thanks summitking. I'm in the process of finding a used 153" M7 skid.. but if I can't find one, I might have to look into one of those Holz.
By the way, does anybody know where to get the best prices on Fox Floats? Best I've found was from my local performance dealer, 1114 USD delivered to my door.

because I think I might be able to find one for an OK price, and that I have ridden sleds WITH that skid in it... don't wan't to waste that much cash and not knoeing what I get.
Did you know that the sleds we get over here, has different (stiffer) suspension calibrations than the ones sold in US? Therefore I think I might be better of with a M suspesion set up for Norway, than a suspension I know little or nothing about, set up for US...

Go with the Holz, it is well worth the money and rides awsome on the trail. It climbs well and jumps awsome! I have had it in my apex along with a m-10 and it work's really well. M-10 if you want to do some serious climbing, Holz for all around.

thanks mate. I've also talked to Ohlins to get them to make me some custom shocks for the skid, but since we didn't have Apex Mountain as a model in Norway in 06 (20 Apex Mountains was taken in on special order), the Ohlins representative in Norway had never heard of this model, but would get back to me as soon as he'd got te measurements for the skid. This, however, seems that it could be just as expencive as changing to the Holz skid. And if I can also sell my skid, I don't think it would be that expencive.
What do you think one could get for a used Mountain skid?

When you run a Holz skid you have to use the rails from your stock skid and a few other peices so don't sell you stock skid.
