Td 285 vrs 290?

all the tunes are switchable on your dash ...or from your phone if you have the flasher and data logger, but if you do have the closed loop... really all you need is one big tune as it does adjust for perfect AFR.... this being said if you like your thumb on the bar and you are using the MAX20 then no matter what you will use more fuel. I liked the eco CL tune of 265 as i was 5ltrs better fuel than a doo850and a poo850 after 165klm run. When you have the closed loop... all your tunes on the juke box are upped by 10-15hp just because the tune is perfect at cooler temps and has potential of more hp.

What I cant figure is HOW are you guys clutching for all three tunes? I guess to me I would rather have ONE tune and really dial it in on clutching.. I was flashed in 17 when we were sending our ECU into Canada.. These early tunes did not have as many options and info like is available today.. I did upgrade since then but only to TD Powertrail and tune has been perfect... If and when I get another sled I will think of "upgrading" to all of the tunes and such.. BUT honestly at this point I like just a single tune.
i clutched for the lower hp tune then adjust the clicker on the TAPP if i run the higher tune... it takes 2MIN to do.

Is the HP higher in warm temps also with the closed loop ?

well you will always get proper AFR thats asked for , as for hp you will always get better hp numbers when temps are lower. heat robs hp

Agree.. I trail ride and like to pound miles on in a season.. It just seems better for my situation.. I don't tweak on the trail, once I get up north im riding!
I'm with you, I like the one tune, flash it, clutch it, 270ss in my case, if it does everything you want well than do your maintenance and rack on the miles of smiles

Very easy to get clutching right on bundle with dalton weights, I have hurricane sm ss tunes found about 72gr on 240 tune and add 1 set screw to run 270 tune, takes a couple minutes to do and your on for both, I like my clutching to be on too.

Or if you and your buddy have had the same single tune and have been close, he gets a little surprise of a good look at your snow flap and maybe some snow chunks thrown his way....lol

Who is this buddy you speak of? Ive never had seen a snow flap or ice chunks lol

The statement was a hypothetical, but yes, you're on the list...lol
