I appreciate the offer, but I went ahead and bought a new pump off eBay.

It is nice to have the switch and gauge in front of you to adjustments on the fly.smoothride said:http://s1305.photobucket.com/user/smoothride1/media/36a37b78-31bb-4500-a452-661882fd6b34_zpsffe14eab.jpg.html][/URL]
This where I have my switch and gauge. Works for me.

I hope you can see the air pump by the chain case it never has broke off mounted there that coming from someone brakes a lot of stuff. One builds it and another man will brake it.lol

Smoothride, I like that switch/gauge position. I have mine installed in the console as outlined in the instructions. I would definitely NOT recommend this location. The airlines were very difficult to run without hitting something sharp or hot. I saw an Apex with the switch on the handle bars and the gauge to the left of the reverse handle. That is where I would locate mine if I had to do it again.
I made my compressor bracket out of 90deg. bracket, works great so far, 3k mi on it w/o a problem

Had the same problem with the gauge and the switch in the cowl. That is why I mounted it on the handle bars. A lot easy'er and less problems like you say.

The new air compressor came in. I decided to locate it above the belt guard. The spare drive belt had to be moved, but it still clears everything. No air lines or switch mounted yet, but it's in the works.
Here's some pics:

I was stumped on where to mount the air pressure gauge, but decided to mount it directly to my new Lake Effect riser. I'll still be able to use a handlebar bag without blocking the gauge. An air line will connect to the back and go down through the console with the throttle cable, wiring, etc.
All parts will be powder coated before final assembly. More pictures to come.

Nice gauge location. How about the switch?
What size riser are you using. I have an Apex mountain riser and it's about 1" to short but I don't want to extend my cables.

There will be a (momentary on-off-momentary on) toggle switch on the left handlebar. The switch will power the pump one way and open a dump solenoid when pushed the other way; no airlines to the switch. I have all the parts, just no time to install yet.
That is a 7" riser. HI-LEX is making me a custom length throttle cable as we speak.

Again, nice location and no air lines is even better. Having never done such a swap I ran with the directions and put the gauge and switch on the console. It's a PITA to remove it for oil changes. I may look into the filter relocation kit.
it wont be long before the maiden voyage!

I can't wait to take 'er for the first rip! All this stuff I made is untested, so I'm hoping everything holds together.
I'll post pics of the switch, dump solenoid and air lines when I get started.
