FYI dirk a Stock Apex ran a 6.72 at the world series this year..I would imagine that with an extra 130hp he should be able to gain more then 2 or 3 tenths on a stocker......don't forget turbos make HUGE torque that will accellerate a house never mind a little 725lb sled .

cool you guys are right I'm wrong. I guess the last three years of working with RX-1 Turbos was a waste of time for me. I should have just went out and bought a turbo kit from North east turbos slapped it on a bone stock warrior and i could run 5.5 and 130 at 14.5 pounds.

Dirk you almost ended this on a good note now you went and screwed it up.
I can assure you there was no slapping going on during my 160 hr installation, massaging, and set up.
Just because it took you 3 years to get where you are with turbos doesn't mean you will catch up with my 25 years of experience making internal combustion engines haul @$$
Just because my library is bigger than yours doesn't mean you should be jelous that it took you 3 years to get where you are with the RX1 turbos your working on, or because I did it on my first try as a HOBBY.
When I was a kid 15, at my first job my boss told me something that stuck with me.

But doesn't it make sense that Ted's sled would be at least in the 5's if our stocker runs a 6.70? Guys where saying the track was alittle off from last year and I'll bet we have more in the sled (it was our first ice race lol) so I don't think a 6.6 or 6.5 is out of reach on a stock class sled. Improved 800s are running in the 00's with 80 less hp and at 775lbs (with rider).....so...My money's on Ted.
Ted...that is one BAD MFer!!! Jeeez.

Ted , I dont think you need to waste your time answering dirkdiggler !
you have accomplished more in 2 months than he has in 3 years . I think its pretty funny that he thinks just beacuse he has had a turbo for 3 years that he must be a expert on the topic ! I have raced with people on the grass for 6 years that still cant lay down a number to save thier life !! some people just dont got it !!!

Not going to take this any further. Like i said your sled runs great from what i can see on the video. The only thing I'm going off of is my own experiences.

Well I fail to see why Teds sled is not capable of running 5.5s. You don't need big boost to make power. Also 5.5s not going to get it done in 1000 pro. My old 800 pro stocker ran 5.25-5.30 at will. I won 1000 pro with it numerous times at the series. If a 5.5 won it they were a seriously slow bunch of pro stockers. Some people can just do more with less, and I think Ted is proving that. If that is all Phil is running thats very poor. The good stock f7s run in the 6.2-6.3 range. An good Improved stock 1000 will run 5.6-5.7. I fail to see why you could tell him theres no way he is running 5.5s. Its totally where it should be. I know why some of these bigger turbos are getting spanked by the smaller versions. Its happening more than you know. Mike Knapp#17

Like I said earlier I really just wanted to see Ted Come out to Phat-man and run some guys out here that I know run well. It's pretty much a dead topic since he lives 16 hours away and has no intension in coming out. Beyond that I have no further comment. At this point it's all conjecture and opinion.

Ted I am thinking about going to a larger turbo for my cpr trail kit.
I have installed 10:1 pistons and head bolts and was thinking about
upgrading to a 28rs turbo. This will be a race sled only.
what turbo would you go with?

Turbos have to be sized by target HP and Engine size.
What or how much HP do you want to make?
This will be the main cotributing factor.
