temp light on

There is a thread here somewhere with pics on the MTX exchanger install, try a search for it...it is a very worthwhile mod. I am so glad I did it.

Cutting the coolant strength, adding Water Wetter and adding venting may help a bit, but it pales in comparison to the extra cooling the exchanger offers. Both you and your sled will benefit.

yup there was a thread on here with some great pics, I never removed my skid to the install, the exchanger fit in with no troubles at all through the hole in the tunnel, I did however have my complete exhaust out at the time installing a full excell system. so there was extra room up there due to having the header and header mount out. The exchanger part was the easiest part, the bottom rad hose was the worst for me....big fingers and out of beer if I remember correctly.
ok found a couple of pics

Just a word on Coolant, atleast the ones we use at work, MEG & MPG, Monoethylenglycol & Monopropylenglycol.
5% stronger coolant (to lower the freezing point) reduces the effect of the coolant with 10% (can transport less heat)
BUT BE SHURE TO NEVER MIX IT TO THIN! If it gets frozen inside the engine, it's game over...
And, coolant degrades over time, so meashure it. Take a few drops with you to the gas-station, they should have the equipment.
