Temp reached 248 degrees in the 1049 cc engine. What damage would this cause.

Why did it hit that temp? Ran out of snow? Once sleds gets heat soaked after over heat it can stay high. Usually wont hurt nothing if you can keep the temp down with proper cooling.

I started it in trailer to warm it up. I was getting my gear on and forgot to shut it off after it's warm. Idiot. Backed it off trailer and temp was 248. Ran it a few hundred yards in the snow to try and cool it. It was bogging down. Wouldn't rev up.Temp never came down so parked it. Temp came down after a few minutes so I started it and was checking if Temps would stay normal. Went a couple miles. It was fine , then all of a sudden Temp starting rising fast. Shut off and let cool again. Started heading back to trailer. Temp fine until about 50 yds from trailer, Temp starting rising quickly again. Loaded up.

I have a 2017 winder, overheat light came on as it started to bog, i shut er down put snow on tunnel and up in heat exchanger 15 mins started fine ram 300 yards started to happen again, stopped repeated snow waited ten and ran the half mile home. Today its got serious low idle 1400-1450 and kinda stumbling touch the gas away she goes np, runs like a champ. installed scratchers and put in water wetter, temp was mint for the 45 mins i was out today, showed no lag, tons of power (270hp hurricane) stop and idle drops to 1400??? no codesit should have shut down and blew out the anti-freeze at that temp.. any codes o #*$&@ downs? you might have wrecked thermostat or blew head gasket. Change thermostat first. Be sure system don’t have an air bubble after that heat cycle.
