Hey guys I think I may have a misreading temp sensor. This is the sensor at the intake manifold and is by the center intake boot. Before I go ahead and buy one, I was hoping someone could take a resistance reading of theirs so I can compare the reading to mine. The resistance reading changes as the temperature does so I would also need to know your temperature in F or C along with the sensor resistance reading. Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes thank you for posting that. With my multi meter that has a temp probe option I took different temp readings then used the multi meter to check the sensor's resistance. At 66f I saw 2.3k, 57f was around 3.5k and 48f or so I was seeing like 4.1k. which obviously is wildly different than that on the chart. The funny thing though when the sensor was in the sled it showed 57f on the gauge. I then removed the sensor and put my multi meter temp probe into the manifold and saw 57f. So not sure what to think without a second comparison.

Coolant temp or intake air temp, which sensor are you checking?

Air, the one in the intake manifold by the center cylinder intake boot.

Here’s the thing, your temp vs ohm’s reading is almost perfectly lined up as a coolant temperature sensor. It would not surprise me if the manual has the charts reversed. I have found many issues with these garbage manuals being put out.

Why do you think your sensor is bad if it’s reading correctly on the display?

Was basing that though off of the chart you posted lol. My sled has always been hard on fuel and I have been trying to self diagnose it via tid bits of info I pick up on here.

But good catch on what seems to be backwards charts for the temp and coolant sensors. Hopefully that will help someone out down the road.
