THEY ARE HERE

For those disappointed with the HP just wait till the re programer comes out for the onboard computer. Could increase the motor more than you think.

we all now the weight of things does not matter so much as design and i'm sure these Japanese Surgeons could chop off another pound and still be no prolem

That was so obvious, suprised someone didn't think of that sooner!

sled dog doesn't the r1 bike motor rev to 13000 and the sleds around 10400.....lighter crank should be fine. Less boost required.

I bet yam has a turbo version of it on the snow already.

With a lighter crank we are going to see some of these engines blow apart if modded.

Dont worry, a lot of a cranks weight is counter weights to keep vibration down. What they probably did is shave some off the con rods and pistons so they could shave a little off the counter weighting which will have little to do with strength.

Could also be that the US $$ exchange rate is finally having its effect on prices.
Ah yep, that just might have something to do with the pricing...

On March 23, 2003 the Japanese Yen to US dollar exchange rate was $121.44 or .008234

On January 17, 2005 the Japanese Yen to US dollar exchange rate was $102.10 or .009794

All other things equal, it takes $12,400 US dollars to buy the same amount of Japanese Yen as $10,000 bought in 2003.

I don't think the prices are too bad considering the exchange rate.

Well as a current non yamaha owner I can say that I'm very impressed. I'm ready to make the switch to a 4 stroke. I'm calling the local dealer tomorrow to get prices. Then I just have to figure out which one I want to get! It's between either an Apex or a Nytro. I'm coming off of an F7 so it sounds like the Nytro would really be a more similar sled, but I really want the FI. What do you guys think?
