Seems like some are a bit down regarding some early problems experienced so far with APEX.

So... I thought I would provide a report that may cheer all you APEX owners right up.

Got this from another site, and you can easily figure out which site. I think it is a great report!

Yama-Pilots are starting to "pee" on the Alpha Males tree!!!

"WE REGRET TO INFORM: ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 14, I EXPERIENCED ONE OF THE DARKEST DAYS OF MY LIFE...... i AM (WAS?) THE PROUD OWNER OF AN '05 MACH Z. MY BUDDY JUST GOT A NEW APEX GT AND WE WERE RIDING TOGETHER AT NIGHT. THE INEVITABLE WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. WE CAME TO A DEAD STOP ON AN ICY ROAD. BOTH OF rUNNING 200+ STUDS AND BOTH CLUTCHED, WE TOOK OFF. HE JUMPED ME ABOUT 2-3 SLED LENGTHS BUT I STARTED TO CATCH HIM. ABOVE APP. 60 MPH, HE STARTED TO WALK AWAY AND I NEVER SAW HIM AGAIN. WE REPEATED THIS ABOUT 6-8 MORE TIMES AND THE RESULTS WERE THE SAME. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP SINCE".

And the year just got started....

I can justify my lurking on other sites because my brother, the red headed step child of the family, is also a Mach Z owner...

"Y" Because I like it... :D ;)!

I think I read Apex had just over 100. The Mach Z rider is aware that they even get stronger over 1000 miles.

Hilarious reading. Most Doo boys can't believe it ,and there are some a bit more rational.

Yes i just love that story hondo lol cant sleep part is just to much he he dont tell the boys in yellow though they will never believe you... :rocks: ;)!

You know whats even better about the whole story. This Apex GT is so sweet on the trail. It nice to know it will kick some butt, and even better knowing how nice she is in the trails. Sweet Sweet Roses of Morn!!!

Ya supertoquer has been touting there heel x clutch for a while now, looks good i hope it works out for ya,did you run the hc primary weights? if so i hope you dident get there hammertime set up,i have there old style hc weights, but i have seen to many of the new hammertime weights come apart, during trail riding, you get a lot more heat in the clutchs when trail riding than you do in a short drag race, some of my friends use them w/good results racing, but like i said you stop cool off stuff and check it over, not what you do when agressive trail ride,so any how how does it work, does it do what they said it would??? ;)!

My son rides a Rev 800 and yesterday we took a little ride of 50 miles or so. On the way back he says "Dad let me ride your sled". Now mind you I spent his teenage years fixing my stuff he broke. Nobody rides Dad"s sled was the rule with 3 teenage boys. Anyway we exchange sleds. Actully my first time on a Rev. I could see it would take a little getting use to as far as the seating position. The 800 had good power and nice smooth ride. When we stopped about 10 miles down the trail to get my ride back. My son says "Wow that is a fast sled" "I think it could take my 800 out of the whole." Then of course to defend is Doo pride he said "too bad its so heavy". However he did omit that it didn"t feel that heavy when he was riding it.

The apex will walk away from the Rev 800. The only Doo i would worry about is the MachZ. Yamaha is going to be #1 in the snowmo biz within the next year or two.
