Thunder Products (Big Venom Viper kit) with Heavy Hitters

It's not the secondary that effects engagement though, it's the primary and that secondary doesn't sound that far off IMO. Is it possible you have too much weight in your clutch causing you to need more RPM to get it to engage?

Correct on secondary, wrong on weight. More weight lowers engagement. He asked several questions. Engagement shouldn't be that high with our weight setup. Hence all my questions.

I installed a washer on each side of the stock primary spring as per the instructions and everything is clean and moving freely. I think I will take it apart again to double check that I installed everything correctly.

I just installed my big venom kit for my mpi turbo viper. All I can say is wow. It really was the best 300 bucks I could have spent. Lon hit the nail on the head with the set up.

Okey, here is my last attempt to get it right. Snow conditions were optimal with a 2 foot base and about 2 feet of new snow. +0 degrees Celsius so you cant much better for a MTX if you ask me.
After using Shagmans tip I moved around some weights and this is the result:
Hole 1: 1"(1/4"+3/4") 3,3+0,9g
Hole 2: 3/8 steel+ thick washer 2,6+1,4g
Hole 3: 7/16 steel + thin washer 4,2+0,4g
Totaling at 61g
6-2 wrap
New 8jp belt that I just broke in(30km crusing) with good deflection

So far it feels like the best setup so far for me BUT as you can see here
Im still having some problems, and they caused me to nose dive into a Creek bed instead of getting the skis over the Creek. Only a steering strut got crooked but still not that fun.

Is it time to start to look into the springs?

Back your secondary wrap off to 6-1. It looks to me that at 6-2 it's just blowing the track out and hitting the limiter. Think of it like a manual transmission tighter wrap keeps you in 1st gear longer. Hence hitting the limiter and killing momentum.

Finally broke down and got the clutch kit. It did not come set up at all. I know you guys are awsome! What do I want where? 190 lbs dressed. I'm looking for all around balanced performance. Pull hard to 85-90 and top out upper 90s to 100.

Shagman and NosPro will need to know what mods you have on your sled.. Be specific. If all stock, start with 3/4" Allen in the heel, 3/8" alum in the center, and 3/8" steel with one thin washer in the tip. Ride it and report back with rpm.
