With the TP Blue I’m at 6-1, what is the equivalent back shift setting with the orange ....is 3-1 the same as 6-1?

I have my spring here I'm just debating if I should run a new baseline then install it or if I should install it and get things set then go back to old secondary to test the difference in RPM.
I'd really like to know.
Also debating 8DN or 8JP. The little bit that I ran the 8JP it felt really strong. Doubt I can get the RPM's up enough to pull the Gates but may try that later.
Would sure be nice if we'd get enough snow to open locally so I can test...
I have and 8JP with and a Gates8jp, both with about 400 miles on each the Gates will drop my RPM by 200-300. They gates has a "snappy" feel to it while the 8JP feels a little sluggish. Kinda odd since the Gates is only pulling 8800 and the 8JP a touch above 9000.

Was 3-2 and was getting some belt dust switched to 3-3 added some weight to the middle and hoping it does the trick. Weight to middle is a limiter issue trying to cure and with tighter wrap may need to add more yet, but testing this weekend final run of a season. Gates belt 8jp length love it.

About 250 miles on gates carbon and orange secondary at 3-2. Some short lake pulls 660 on 14lbs also. Trying the 3-3 and I’m sure where I’m going will find out quick I’d belt will hold trails are long and fast and straight.

Racked up 1000 miles last week with the TP Orange secondary spring at 3-1. I’m keeping in for next year. I hit 99GPS when the highest past speed over 9k miles was 95GPS. Back shift and up shift was similar to the blue at 6-1 with the orange giving smoother engine braking (IMO). I run a 43* helix. NA motor.

How was the 3-1 compared to 3-3 . Did it upshift faster . I run mine at 3-3 and it seems to pull pretty good .Racked up 1000 miles last week with the TP Orange secondary spring at 3-1. I only ran the Orange in 3-1. I don’t like a lot of engine breaking, so I didn’t go tighter. 3-3 Blue backshft is too lazy IMO.

Wonder if the 3-1 would be better for racing then the 3-3 . What you thinkI only ran the Orange in 3-1. I don’t like a lot of engine breaking, so I didn’t go tighter. 3-3 Blue backshft is too lazy IMO.

I would try 3-1 Orange. I ran Blue 3-3 last year and had a slower speed. This is subjective since I didn’t do back to back comparisons. There might be other opinions by racers on this site.
