2006 apex rtx
personally for me, its all about the engines.
I ride yamaha for engine first, quality second.
For years i have sacrificed suspension, or handeling just to have the best motors money can buy.
I can fix anything myself. But dont want to once the season starts, i just want to ride.
Engine failures are what will keep me sidelined, almost everything else is a relatively quick fix.
i can honestly say that since 2002 i have never once missed a day of riding because of an engine related issue. (2002 viper. 2006 apex. 2014 viper)
Back 2-3 years ago i struggled with the idea of yamaha exiting the market. Since owning my viper, and seeing the new sidewinder, have come to realise that as long as yamaha supplies motors, i will be happy.
