It`s actually enough to only remove the 4 upper bolts, this will let you remove the metal plate that holds the bearing inplace. The shaft will have support from the other side and you can let it rest on the metal plate held by the two screws that are left if you only remove the 4 upper screws.
I have changed this bearing many times but not without having changed all of the other bearings.
But it shouldnt be a problem! Just remember to loosen the setscrews on the inside and to jiggle the driveshaft up/down/back/forth as necessary to get the bearing out.
