What kind of trailer locks does everyone use? I am constantly battling frozen locks and can't imagine that I'm the only one out there with this issue.

Thaw out your locks with a heat gun or hair drier and spray wd-40 in them. Works like a charm. Way better than lock de-icer and lasts a lot longer. Reapply every couple weeks as needed

One thing that I've come up with to keep all of the road slime from building up on the locks while going down the road is to cut a slit in a tennis ball about half way around the ball. Then pull the ball apart to cover the lock. As long as you don't cut the slit too long the ball stays put.
I use Master Lock pro series locks. I spray some fogging oil into them a few times every winter to keep them from freezing, but if enough moisture gets in I still have had to break out the heat gun.

I've had pretty good luck for many years just keeping them oiled, but for some reason the last year or two I had a couple stick good. I finally add the propane torch to the list of items that I carry.
Even at home where I have AC, the torch is a lot easier for me.

Don't lock the trailer while traveling... I lock mine up at night, but when its on the road I just use standard pins.
In the winter I always carry map gas. You never know when you'll need it and it comes in handy to thaw out locks. Map gas is cheap at Home Depot. A must have winter carry item in your vehicle.

I have found that Never seize has worked best. I left my Barbell lock on my hitch all winter and had no problem getting it off.. Have to watch because your key will get dirty when you unlock it..

Lube the locks with lube of choice and take them off while traveling so they don't get full of salt and road grime.

Buy brass locks.
WELL...I use the "MASTER Puck Style Locks"
I clean them well and then spray them with a product called.."TRI-FLON" it's good from -65 DEG F to +475 DEG f
It Cleans and provides a unique protective sheild that rejects abrasive particles such as DIRT, SAND, SALT & ICE.
Works Purrrrrrrrrrrfectly here in WINTERPEG home of the salt, snow & cold.
I have 5 locks.....ALL WORK PURRRRRFECTLY all year long
