turbo set up from RX-1 to Attak

Found a 03 RX1 with a stage 2 turbo. Guy said it spiked and blew the head gasket. said turbo needs a wastegate and a new oil line. Sled looks pretty good been well kept. He's asking $3500 for the sled.

Question 1. how much is the turbo set up worth used. how much for wastegate and oil line?

Question 2. Will this set up transfer to my Attak?

Answer 1. Depends on which manufacturer's stage2 kit...

Answer 2. NO because the intercooler / airbox is different from carbs to EFI throttle bodies, as well as the fuel system from carbs to EFI (you'll need a fuel programmer).

Honesly the RX1 turbo kits aren't worth a lot of money I have seen a few of them $1500-2500 and not selling. Maybe me think about building a lake sled because the parts are so cheap.

As stated not much is compatiable with a RX1 as a direct bolt on, a little finessing or a lot can make anything work but there are cheaper apex turbo kit parts showing up now as well since the nytro is the new machine of choice for boost.

I talked to a local bike builder. He said about the same thing. He said he could do it for around a grand with parts. But really didn't know without it be their to inspect. He agreed turbo is only worth about a grand

The engine on the RX-1 may be damaged. Detonation is the most likely cause of the gasket failure. You will not know until the engine is apart and inspected. With a blown head gasket, pressure testing the engine is no use. Wise decition staying away from this one.
