Turbo viper tips

I ordered my MPI with prologger boost guage, Matt from MPI said that I can adjust my boost using the prologger. He also said that it will make sure that the boost is spot on, now I just need to get the damn sled and turbo kit, hopefully it will show up tomorrow or Monday. Anyone else using prologger?

Prologger is great and will be my next upgrade, you can also stage the boost to reduce track spin so you can use it like a traction control for racing!

Tested a Yamaha Orange Silver Orange primary spring yesterday raises the engagement about 300 rpm (2800-3000) hard to tell on the digital over the Orange we had in it. Also added the 5/8" screw in the heels of the weights. This has given us a little more holeshot grip and a little more RPM up top. It improved the ET slightly but also has improved the overall ride. The engine snaps a little quicker now to 8800 rpm, more instant than I had it before where it had to work a little to get there. Makes the sled a real animal to ride!!!

117 GPS top speed before its out of gear, plenty quick for a trail guy!

Jamie that is preety good speed for a stage 1 turbo, that will get ya down the trail in a quick way,any turbo lag, sense my 1100 has been boosted it has nearly zero lag,on my v-19 map.

I would say that my turbo cat would have needed the powertrail tune on V19 that I had to run with this viper. I don't know why that suzuki engine seems to need to make so much more hp to run the speed. At least in the case of our two they did.

Do you have the max91 map with quick spool? If so this is how hard the viper hits / spools on the trails.

Wanted to give a quick update here 761 miles now on the kit and belt. No belt dust being generated and the belt looks like new. The clutching is spot on pulling 8700/9000 depending on how cold it is or how deep the snow is. Working very well on the clutching side. I would recommend this clutch setup to anyone who builds their own turbo kit and wants to clutch it. Spot on put it together and go. This sled has gps run at 117 mph on stock gearing.

Thanks for the updates Jamie. Really enjoying my MCX kit. I Need to hook up with Dino soon so that I can get the boost turned down a bit Seems amazing on fuel which surprises me!

Yeah ours has the boost sorta all over. We have bypassed the TCV valve now and going to leave it that way. Never seems right. I have a manual boost controller to add to it so we can adjust for warmer days. The fuel mileage is fantastic generally its 3-5 liters less than my turbo 1200 on the same ride.

Manual boost control sounds like the key! Where can i get that?

I rode 90 miles one day. When i left the sled wasnt quite full since i let the gas pump trigger stop on its own during fill up so i didnt get gas all over.

I rode with 2 sleds and their gas lights were on.

I filled a 5 gallon jerry can the viper wouldint take it all!

Its calleda manual boost controller, turbosmart, hallman, greddy all make them. I got mine off flea bay. If you buy one here will be two nipples, usually the outlet nipple has a spring and ball behind it. Unscrew this nipple remove the spring and ball. Then remove the two hoses from your tcv valve. One goes to the inlet side of the mbc the other goes to the wastegate.

^^^ That's what they advertise, it doesn't work like that and were not changing elevation well maybe 200' tops.
