Could some of you post some pics of how you mounted your BOV? I assume you mount it to the side of the intercooler or on the charge tube, right? What kind of adapters are needed?
I haven't dealt with these before so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Lance

I took a wrecked aluminum quad bumper and cut out one of the 90 deg bends and welded on the side of the intercooler.
You can get 90 elbows, but no one local had any in stock.

It's not mandatory that it goes on the intercooler. I've got mine in the charge tube. Not sure which is a better system but mine seems to work Ok.

Good idea Johnny. That way I wouldn't have to get an elbow. Might just have to try that type of mount.
Thanks for the replies.
Where's the best place to connect the hose on top of the BOV? I don't have any directions, so I could use a little help.LOL

I have the hose connected to the little nipples on the carb boots. I took some hose and connected all 4 nipples together and ran that to the BOV. Seems to work pretty well.

Jonny, where did you get you BOV.
I need to go in that direction now because I keep cracking the welds on my air Box. does somebody make a complete kit specific to the Yamaha turbos with directions where all you have to do is install. I am runnining 19lbs to 20lbs of boost.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

I have the Bender stage I Air Box, not the Intercooler stage II.

I picked it up at fasterthanthem.com. Spray25 has the same BOV on his Bender Stage I. He mounted it toward the front. It is suppose to handle up to 35 psi.

Johnny,
Did you cut the spring inside your BOV? I see that others have cut three rings off of theirs. I cut two off and will try it that way first.

I bought one off E-Bay and would like to know more about how to set it up also. Where do you hook into the carbs? I heard people talking about nipples and I thought about my wife! If you could take a Pic of what you are talking about I would appriciate it. You aren't talking about the 2 Tee's are you?
Thanks for the help.

I think you need to tap into the carb boots between the engine and the carbs. I think that will give you a vacuum on the hose in the top of the BOV when you let off the throttle hard. You will have boost on the other side of the BOV and that will cause it to open and release the boost.
Am I correct guys? I think I am starting to understand all this stuff.LOL
