i will contact the glen howard to change the dates on the blocked rooms and ask about a pizza night on thursday for our bunch.i am waiting to contact nopiming lodge and whitelake resort for lunch and gasoline until closer to the ride so we can watch trail conditions. at this point i dont see the power tour fitting in to the ride anywhere but it will be in the "area" over that weekend. :yam:

I've been across to Gimli a couple of times. Big lake! Lac bu Bonnet to Seddens corner to Beausajour or however its spelt to Elma to Falcon lake. Back up through the whiteshell to Seven Sisters across the dam and back to LDB! Is the White shell open! Someone lost a groomer but I don't know if that was Nopoming or in the Whiteshell!

The good news for me anyway is it looks like I'm in for the Manitoba ride as it stands so far! May have to hurry home unload the sled and take of on Saturday Morning with the boys but hey I've done two trips back to back before and one was a 5 day ride, come home thaw out sled in garage that night. Change the sliders go over the sled in the morning and off to Manitoba that afternoon to ride for 6 more days the following morning. 2,000 plus miles in 12 days with 11 days of riding. It was awesome but tiring!

Damn I got to Phone you RX! Cleaning snow forever tonight after the huge dump!

Any room for Minnesotans on this ride?
I have Friday through Monday off and may be able to get another Tyer to split the fuel cost.

I have ridden there once before and it is beautiful.

yamadoo, your kidding right ??come-on then .you know the ride itself is on the thursday and friday right , feb14/15? we just had our first blizzard of the year, things are looking up. sasquatch, bounty said there was no way you would miss out!!the whiteshell loop i think is a forsure thing for the friday.i am thinking we may have to plan an alternate route for thursday.watch think chewy(cherry08), think we can keep up with these guys?? :jump:
:rocks:

Yea I was kidding. I have had the chance in years past to ride with Great crew in MB and loved it.

Thanks guys I have to look for a travel partner Looks like its 9 hr drive from home....... Would be fun, I would definitely miss the Thursday ride

Do they still have the short Canadian trail pass?
What permits would I need besides passport, MN license and proof of insurance?

Ah leave the passport at home. Then you can stay and sled longer! :moon:

Manitoba week pass is around 60 to 70 bucks I think.

You can pick on up in Beausejour at Graves Insurance 415 Park Ave, R0E 0C0 204-268-2476 Fax 204-268-2996 right on the main drag.

LDB it is Hub International Horizon Insurance LP 30 McArthur Pl, R0E 1A0 204-345-8607 Fax 204-345-6048

Maybe phone to find out the hours.

I do mine over the internet by printing the form they send me and then filling it out with credit card number. Sign and scan it to my computor as a jpg and send it back. Permit comes in the mail.
