Hi bob, what a professional wright up,and the pics are some of the best i have seen this side of paul cyr's pics in presque Isle. Man we have to hook up nest winter,i showed mother your beautiful photo shoot and she loved them to,and we both commented on coming up this summer on the bike, which we generally do anyway, but this time stopping in to say hi to you and you better half. Onw question which one is the orange f series of tj's is it an f-8 or the f-1000 and if it is the f-1000 does it beat your brothers attak? Man its to bad we did not do any trails off its 85 north of portage,in fact the one night we came thru there from ashland we skiped right on thru to its 90 and than over to club trail 61 back to washburn, that part of trail was just awsome,we met the groomer on the portage end,but as soon as you got ovet to caribou section you knew you was in there territory,so the turn off was the right thing to do lol, funny you showed that little atv bridge almost in washburn from presque Isle trail out of town from the rr its88 trail, but that brudge when there is alot of snow is like the littletown bridge bumpy he he but i still like it. Man i thought for sure you would have some shots of our famous 600 foot long rr bridge acrossed the aroostook river in washburn lol??? Because of lack of snow and timing we only got down to houlton twice and once was coming over from my uncles place in sherman and once to gas up and return back up its 83 to its 86 to cross over to oxbow and up its 85 to portage, not a good year for me,i only managed about 2,000 miles split between two apexs,06 attak/apex and now my 07 rtx. My hats off to you bob as it looks as if you have done most of your 9,000 miles in Maine, unlike early rider from HCS site he does 10,000 plus each year, but they do most of it in quebec, and IMO that is easy miles,as i used to ride up there years ago before i got a oui now they want me to fill out this pink sheet give them 200 bucks and take a chance that they will pardon me,i have heard that they sometimes just take your money and refuse your entry anyways,so i am a little uneasy about it for now,so i guess it really is the end of what started out as one of our worst seasons in a long time, with no real killer storms to drop 3 feet of white gold like last year, and it was still an ok season,i still have rideable snow down here in my back yard today and it is 50 degrees as i type at 11am now!! But getting out to the pole line might be a problem lol unless i take my grandsons 4- wheeler lol so bob we will see ya this summer and thanks once again for such great commantary. Pete

Thanks Pete,
I appreciate the acknowledgement. I had fun doing the presentation.
My intent was to show case "The County", Quebec, and New Brunswick, Canada. If we do this next year I may try to showcase more of Canada.
The Guiness Book of World Records should reflect 10,700 miles after this season. That mark can be beat by just by following the snow.
T.J.'s sled is an F-1000. He had quite a few problems with it from the factory, and is still working on getting the sled to run to it's full potential.
Before my brother had his clutches, springs, belt, FI synchronized, and weight transfer optimized, by Danny, at Roger's Sport's Center, my brother would stay right with the F-1000. It was just a matter of who hooked up better off the line. It was that close.
After the work was done, the Attak will smoke the F-1000. Not even close.
T.J. got on the Attak, and could not believe how hard it pulled.
T.J. is a great friend of ours. He has been a little frustratated with the machine. He has asphalt drag raced for many years, and has done very well. He will get the F-1000 to run right. If not, it's going down the road.
It would be great if you stopped in this summer. Just shoot me a PM, or call me, just to make sure I'm going to be here. Being "semi retired", I'm available to work during the summer months. I need to squirrel away some gas money for the sled season. LOL...
Thanks again Pete,
See you this summer!

Yamadoo,
Thanks so much for your compliments.
Yes, there is life after the job market. Just don't get worn down.
Glad you enjoyed the presentation. It was fun putting it together, and riding throughout Northern Maine, Quebec, and New Brunswick, Canada.
Have a great summer and,
Thank you again for the acknowledgement!

Hi Yamadoo,
The guantlets are made by Choko. They were about $35.00, and well worth the money. They work great. They have some rigidity to them and are soft on the inside. They also come in different colored piping.
Those are stock mirrors on the RS Venture, and work well.
I know so many of our members had a bad winter snowmobiling. I think these weather patterns will change for the better.
Just like ME riders, I know MN riders would love to have a couple of good old fashioned snow storms next year!
Lets hope!

Thanks again for all the great pics. I hope you (and others) are planning on doing the same next year to give (temporary) internet racers like myself something to look forward to.
Enjoy your summer!!

Thanks silversurfer,
It was a pleasure to put together.
We'll figure out something for next year.
Hopefully next year all of our members will have better riding conditions throughout the snow belt regions.
If so, we would probably see more participation.
Have a great a great summer!

Hi bob, there is one gas stop that i always stop at,and it is pete ouellette's trading post right on its 81 in van burean, his store is a little differant to,as it has something for everyone and no crossing any long stretchs of paved road, plus he is right on the trail, and now he has a nice little restaurant in house, pete is a character for sure,so bob you going to take one more ride if you get the snow they are forcasting,as i type right now we have 4-5 " on the ground, and guys are saying that the riding out of shin pond was good yesterday, before this new snow? Hi Pete, and Dave,
I also stop at Ouellette's from time-to-time.
I agree in the low snow conditions it's easier to get gas at Ouellette's, than the Tulsa Station.
Unfortunately, I'm done for the year Pete, I have put up my sled and have fogged it etc.
I also have some firm obligations to tend to right now.
Shin pond should be real good plus it's fairly easy to get to.

If your riding this weekend have fun, and be safe!

Hey Hondo
I'm looking for a super charger so I can put the miles down faster and have more time to relax. Know where I can find one?

nyattak,
I can hook you right up.
Talk to Danny, at Roger's Sport Center in Fort Kent, Maine (207) 834-5505.
Or, maybe you, and DaveyBoy could get a good deal on a pair of superchargers. Take a look at MPI, for your performance needs.
Lay both sleds out side by side, and by the numbers install the super-chargers.
Good luck in taking it to the next level!
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the peek at your riding season!
WOW 9,380 miles in a year! And a sled 2 year old sled with over 21k miles! YOU ARE THE MAN! Looks like the Yamaha has held up quite well.
Heck I thought my ten year average of 2500 miles miles per year was decent, but fails to compare!
Great shots and terrific comentary! We don't have many groomed trails around here and I did kind of chuckle at your 'rough trails'.
I would like to know if you kept a log of gas mileage and average speeds. I assume you got great milelage.
Thanks again for the insite on your riding this season.
I look forward to my first Yamaha since a my ol 1981 SRX440! You have inspired me to set a goal of 5000 miles on the Nytro!
Take care.....
