TY Race Team ?

Is there an official TY Race program? I see the guys over at Doo Talk have one. A couple guys were in the USCC East this year.

What type of progam would you guys as members like to see? Obously the racers are looking for money.

What do the members want in return. Meet and great with the racers? Weekly chat nights? Let us know your thoughts

i was thinking simply deals on parts in exchange for product promotion/advertising. personally i'm not looking for much more that that at this time.

tech exchange is my biggest "want"

for 2011-12 USCC East season I’m on the Studboy Team and an ambassador for Marathon Truck Decks so far.

For Sponsors could do a thing like I have done with the car. I have put Fans names on the car for 5 bucks a name. Let's fans be part of the team. I would put up 5 bucks.

I dont like race teams, I dont like sponsorships and I dont like having specilty shops race against trails sleds.

What I would be more interested in is setting a new standard with little rules and some basic classes to keep the phazers and the boosted apex seperate LOL

Make it informal like the radar event on rib lake that tom does every year.

You could do 1/4 miles racing, cross country racing, whatever. Idea is to run what you brung and have more fun and take the competitiveness out of it let people that have trail sleds do something that has some compeition to it but not in a race scene where you have to be sooo dang good you get slaughtered everytime and you no longer have fun.

Maybe do 4-5 race events a year at different spots to get people local to that area. No registration, rules just dudes having fun with a trial ride afterwards and a few stops at the local pubs.

I do this nw with my group on trips but it would be fun to do a all TY 'event', get someone with a radar and maybe someone that has some land that can offer the cross country event, etc. All from the members of TY.
