How did you like the new stock skis? Probably hard to tell with all the other new stuff. Just wondering if people will be ripping these off or if they do a pretty good job for trail riding. Do they come on all new sleds or just Apexes?

Tom would you mind unplugging the EXUP system and see if it throws a dash code?
weigh the sled with empty gas tank, I am sure everyone wants to know what real weight is.

Sorry... I wont do that. Unless you can hang onto it and stand on my bath scale.

Its been talked about and I am sure it will cause a error code. Here is a gadget to alter that out come.

I was really impressed with the skis on the demo ride with the loose slushy snow. These are not s super aggressive design so dont expect snow cross feel or carving.... general trail they are an improvement over last years.

I'd like to know how much wieght is on the skiis, vs an older APEX. I assume that is a big factor in the reduced ski lift, many of the negatives cancelled by EPS. That would require 2 bathroom scales I guess. Reading the recent psots on the rear drive system being tested he claims that reduced ski pressure helps mileage an awful lot. I do hope to trade my 2008 40th for an SE in the fall, definitely a nice ride.

Definitely an awesome sled, and from the short time I spent on it, it's a night and day improvement over the older models! Glad to see you got the opportunity to keep a hold on this one! I look forward to seeing what it looks like after you're done!

That sled will rock. I'm waiting a year or two for an Apex XTX SE, with Float 2's all around.........

I rode the SE and base model at the Hurley Snow Safari. I loved the powersteerling. Made the sled feel literally 100+ pounds lighter. I had had been having a helluva time deciding which to buy. I decided on the base model. The rep told me that the air shock can change by over 10 pounds of PSI depending on the temperature. It is hard enough to get up into a suspension full of caked on iced snow to adjust the rebound let alone trying to tip the sled on its side so there is no pressure on the shock, per the rep, to then attached a hose to the shock to add or remove air. For me, I weigh 160 pounds, the base model. However, I am installing my 08 Ohlin's up front. The Ohlin's are amazing for what they do to standard bumps and how they manage chatter trails. I don't ride off trail or on trails that are ditched out.

Having only had Float experience on the front shocks, Floats in the rear would have a built in learning curve.......
But I don't raise my front or back (to take weight off the Floats) when I add air to them. I know, I know...... the manual says to do that. But I don't. I just have the psi's down in my head, that are like 20 -30 psi higher per shock probably if I don't take the weight off. But it works for me!
This work in the rear skid too I imagine, why wouldn't it?
