Great, what is the advantages to this clutch vs. standard Phazer secondary ?

It should result in better backshift. I highly doubt in a drag race we will see any performance gains. Just playing and testing.
There are only 2 helixes available for the stock Phazer secondary. The stock 39* helix and a 37* helix.
This secondary will allow us to use standard helixes like the Apex/Attak and play with multi-angles to try to make for quicker backshifting yet.

Was the longer bolt and spacer a Yamaha item or did you just find something that fit it? Just want to know if I could order them or if I have to start looking around.
Thanks

I couldn't find the spacer or bolt that actually had a Yamaha part number that still worked. I have bolts in stock and could easily make the spacer as well. If you want send a PM, email, or call for more information. I put on 200 miles this weekend and the secondary swap worked great!

Is your sled N/A ?
What helix and spring are in the secondary?

My mtn lite doesn't seem to backshift enough. When you turn up hill in deep snow,
The revs get pulled down to near the torque peak- like tranny is in 4th gear when it needs to shift
down to 3rd gear. SRXSpec, have you already gotten some settings on the vmax secondary?
I would be interested in buying parts(including longer bolt w/ spacer) from you along with getting vmax sec. if improvements can be had.

Yes, naturally aspirated Phazer FX. We were doing testing at 6000 feet elevation so I don't want to give out helix information as it won't apply to sea level riding. We were also not using the stock Yamaha weights so the settings were different as well. We are getting snow again today and I will try to get out at our normal sea level elevation for some testing.
rfabro, I have not tested yet on a Mountain Lite, we were testing at 6000 feet with our Phazer FX and have settings for that. We also were not using the stock weights in our setup either.

I have tuned with the Yamaha pin 45 gram Super Tips with good success using the stock secondary setup and stock primary spring. You should be around 57 grams total weight.
