Anyone been watching Allen's dyno testing comparing clutches & clutching on Facebook? Not sure how to Link or if permitted, but it's been very interesting. Thanks Allen for sharing!

Long story short.....I did 60 miles worth of dyno runs, 156 recorded runs in total, in two days.
PEFI Stage 4 setup with 3" muffler. My Yamaha clutching setup was the best overall, but all were very close, like close enough that there was a slight difference at the peak horsepower number on the graph, but they were within 1-2 hp everywhere else.
1 - Yamaha primary & secondary with Ulmer (springs, weights, helix, secondary rollers, primary rollers) setup
2 - TAPP primary & Yamaha secondary with reverse angle Ulmer helix & spring
3 - TAPP primary & 11.5" TAPP secondary using their tuning components but adjusting lever weight, clickers, etc to get desired rpm and "feel"
4 - TAPP primary & 11" TAPP secondary using their tuning components but adjusting lever weight, clickers, etc to get desired rpm and "feel"
On the TAPP setups I played with weighting the levers differently (outer hole with allen screws, inner hole with allen screws, and "pin" weight with different length bolts/washers.
Key notes
-I have unlimited Yamaha clutch tuning parts and have tuned Yamaha clutches forever, my setups don't typically have any belt problems or anything like that, so I'm comparing TAPP to perfect Yamaha stuff
-I had very little TAPP tuning parts besides the bolts & washers sent with the primary
-With the TAPP primary & secondary I would love to try some different ramps, roller size(s), and helix angles and hopefully will have the opportunity to do that on the next sled

Just like I mentioned before even being put on Allens track dyno, nothing at all wrong with Yamaha clutches as long as they are not binding, eating rollers & blowing belts like the stock Winder primary has tended to do when used on high HP tunes over some miles. My preference is definitely a stock Yamaha secondary and the older RX-1 style or Apex primaries, although I'm now running the TAPP primary for a few years for its cooler running possibilities along with possibly being stronger, less prone to warpage, flex and exploding, it does not put any more power to the track vs. a decent setup on good Yamaha clutches. Good looking stuff, but no magically putting more power to the track or anything of the sort when going against good non-binding Yamaha clutches with a proper setup.
Bottom line, no gains on power output with the TAPP primary and secondary at all. Unlike the Maxceleration dude who was claiming the seriously ridiculous HP increases on moving to the TAPP secondary which I knew to be bogus BS. Thanks to Allen for proving this point and sharing the actual findings on the track dyno.

Thanks Allen for all the time you spent on this testing. Great data and results summary.
