I've been running ulmers intake kit(3k&n) and sandale can without any kind of fuel programmer for the past two seasons, 3300 miles with no issues. For the intake-kit and muffler. Do i need a powercommander? Running at sea level.

How's the Viper with a can? I.e. where do you get the most increase; low, mid, top end?
Would a fuel controller be needed for a header & can and the TY airbox mod combo?? I've already done the TY airbox mod, and are currently debating with myself whether I should also do the header and can update...?!

You definitely feel the low and mid range, hi end you gain a few mph. Intake and can or header is OK with out a fuel programmer, but once you do all three , you will definitely need one, I just got my straight line header and Im doing the evo stage 4 91 octane flash. How's the Viper with a can? Yes i also noticed that an aftermarket can wakes this sled up throughout the entire rpm range.
EVO muffler added last year. I liked it so much this year i did an intake mod, the straightline header, and evo stage 4 reflash.
I have only been able to start and run the sled on a stand, but the sled starts and idles 100% better and the throttle response is noticably better.
I expect these mods to be exactly what i was looking for. I was really missing the power i had become used to with my apex. These mods should get me closer to that!!
Just a little clutch fine tuning and im ready to rock!!

Alright got my can, installed it on my wife's sled to do the comparison.
It's for sure quieter so far, won't be able to do a full comparison until we get snow and that'll be after new years.
