Ulmer Racing will be offering the Mega Float Electronic Pressure Adjustment kit for any Mega Float shock that will bolt into any of the Monoshock rear suspensions.
This kit will eliminate the need for the clumsy hand pump needed for current air pressure adjustments to the shock. The stock air pump assembly requires considerable effort to connect and pump up the rear shock. The Ulmer Racing EPA kit will allow you to easily and endlessly adjust your rear shock pressure for varying day to day conditions.
The current price is set at $395 for the complete kit.
The kit includes:
We will also offer a pre-made panel that has the gauge and air switch assembly already mounted in the panel for less hassle for the end user (you will simply install your DC outlet and key switch assembly into the new panel instead of having to mount the items to your old panel). This kit will be $515.

Will this void the warranty on the shock? If for any reason the system leaks (no pressure in shock) is the sled usable? Manual is pretty specific on how to adjust the shock. I rode one with a blown float and it crashed out bad.

That looks awesome allen..
My only concern would that plastic air like on the tunnel getting brittle in the cold and breaking with your foot..

If Yamaha can not prove that it is abuse which broke the shock, then warranty should be no issue at all. We have spoken with Fox engineers who say we should have no problems with the setup at all.
If the system leaks it would be no different than if you blew a seal. Of course it would ride very very rough with no air pressure in it. You would notice instantly if the shock was leaking though as the air pressure on the gauge would begin dropping instantly. If the system is installed correctly you will not have any issues with leaking.

That plastic air line is way tougher than it looks. It is an industrial line which is used on heavy equipment during the winter, etc and is very very tough to break.

You guys might make a believer out of me on the revival of my mono shock LOL
Anxious to hear reviews this winter from the Blowjett engineering ohlins PDS upgrade and this mega float with awesome adjustability upgrade from Ulmer.
Good work guys!

AIR PRESSURE IN SHOCK
What is the operating range of air pressure in the shock? Can you
change pressure while riding? Can same system be connected to front
shocks at same time?

The operating range of the shock is 165 to 225 psi of air. Right now we are testing to see how the shock will hold up with adjusting the air pressure on the fly, but at this time we do not recommend adjusting it on th efly. With a "T", a valve, and some more line it could definitely be connected to the front shocks as well.

When Tom built the sled for the site I had talked to him about using the airwave pump to inflate his front shocks. All you need is one more toggle switch and 3 electric over air relays. Very easy to do. I never got the system built for him because im never home. It would be great to be able to do that.Shane

To get accurate gauge pressure will we have to take the weight off by lifting the sled off the ground?

i have a m-20 and the air line along tunnel it has 2 little plastic clamps and they are held with rivots it never comes into play because it's tight against tunnel. no way your foot comes close.

Allen,
i have about 600k on the Mega float,
can't wait for your kit to be available,
the spec sheet that came with the shock shows the psi
range from 140 to 225psi,
what will happen if you do go lower than 140, will it just bottom like crazy or will you damage the float?
please L.M.K when they are ready for shipping..

The the sled received the full Ulmer's treatment and flat out rails. And she loves the adjustable Mega Float. Nice product and great idea!!!!!!!

can you make a kit so I can just put air in by the running board with a pump.Run a hose from shock to the running board.
