I see you are tapping in by the Fuse box...what wire? Also the ground is running forward, did you just ground it under the head light frame??

If I ran a Megafloat one of these would be strapped to my sled for sure!!!!

I think this is a great idea, do you think all will be ok with the build up under the tunnel? just being able to change the psi in the side would work for me.what a great site this is. 1st time yamha 2011se. went from a dragon to this was night and day. thanks for all the imfor. that you guys have given me

Just an FYI, Tap the power to fuse block blue white and ground on the top delta box frame anyplace.

Did this kit ever take off? I don't see it on Ulmer's site.

If my memory serves me, the Mega did not perform well with the added volume produced by the lines in this kit. Hygear actually has a procedure where they install a volume reducer into the shock when apart for revalving. Hygear's system is what I ran when I still hade the mega in place.

How did you like it? How often did you find yourself adjusting the pressure?

Their system worked well. I did, however, adjust air pressure often. Changing trail conditions coupled with my OCD had my sled tipped on it's side frequently to tweek the Mega. I felt bad for my riding buddies having to wait while I try yet another pressure setting...
Once I found the "sweet spot" for the conditions I was in the shock delivered. If I were still using the Mega, I would incorporate Hygears volume reduction and a SS braided air line from the shock through the side of the tunnel but not go beyond. This would be a much smaller amount of added volume while still providing far easier access for pressure changes. Just a thought...
The on-the-fly adjustability of the M-20 I ride on now is the real deal.

I've just now seen this thread for the first time. I've never ridden an Apex with the Fox Mega Float, but adding solenoids and switches to independently control air pressure in the front and rear shocks is very much achievable as implied above. It can also be achieved with one air pressure gauge. When Tom built the sled for the site I had talked to him about using the airwave pump to inflate his front shocks. All you need is one more toggle switch and 3 electric over air relays. Very easy to do. I never got the system built for him because im never home. It would be great to be able to do that.Shane
Maybe an air solenoid mounted close to the shock would alleviate the extra volume issues when running an air line all the way up front to an air compressor?
Nice kit by the way!

I talked to Ross at Hygear...he basically said the mega is no good. Also said that they never did any onboard air system for the mono...that they looked into it, and it just wouldnt work.
