Ulmer Racing Stage 2 Clutch Kit

We're in the same ballpark for hp. My setup to start will be 2 tungstens in the tip. I think just by removing the heel weight this angle is close to a 37-38 start with a near stock finish maybe 33-35ish.

Well I was able to get out and try it with the washer added in the center hole ( one washer per side of weight) and it brought the rpm down just like you mentioned. It now hits 9050 rpm and then pulls down to 8900 and holds there. This is running stock helix with stock spring set on 3 and 3 or 60 degrees. So I feel I will run it like this for while and get some miles on this setup.

I'm going to have the same setup. So added 2 grams ( washer on each side) in the middle?

Installed the helix and spring yesterday, removed the 2 washers in the heel. Went for a little blast, poor conditions, no real smooth long stretches to check shift rpm. Engages at 3200 rpm.
 
I was debating getting it. I have his weights already but am gonna try out TP 33/35 helix and orange spring. I'm stock at the moment but getting the TD powertrail CAI and super quiet exhaust right after the holidays so I'll be tweaking the weights a little probably and I also have a Dalton black/blue primary spring and TP orange primary to try also. Hoping my local strip on the pond will be froze up with some snow to test and fine tune things some. Will use GPS and timers hopefully to verify best setups along with trail manners. Will gladly post my results and share info I'm not into hiding my setup because no matter what it is there's always someone faster..lol

I'll post some results by end of week, hopefully the lake isn't too rough so I can make some good passes.
 
So after running the TP spring with the stock and 35/39 helixes and blowing 3 belts on my trip North I figured I'd give ulmers stage 2 a try. I've had this for a while but didn't have the time to dial it in.

His helix is quite aggressive and is progressive (not a reverse). His secondary spring has slightly more side pressure than the stocker. The STM helix is machined for use with the stock spring which was a bonus.

So I'm still running a 1.25 ripsaw 2 with 192 1.575 Megabites and am geared up with a 22t upper.
I ran 5 or 6 back to back runs on shitty ice all mid 120s GPS. Stopped once slowed down to check clutches every pass. I'm able to put my bare hands on the clutches, they are warm but not crazy hot and my sheaves have never been so clean. No snow left here but I tried running around the lake jumping from snow patch to snow patch to try and emulate trail riding speeds to check my clutches. They were Luke warm I'll call it.

STM weights were loaded with heel empty, mid empty, 1 tungsten and 4 washers in the tip. Ulmers pink primary spring. Rpms come out at 88-89 and climb to 9000-9050.

I'm running TD powertrail CAI tune.

For a quick test I'm more than happy with the results so far.

How hard was it to wrap that spring to 100 degrees? What color was it,and was the tang offset compared to stock Yamaha springs?

Awsome,now that was stm helix 38/35 and some funky spring wound 9-1 wow.thats good news
