Has anybody installed the new Venom intake kit for the Viper yet? This is the one that mods the stock box.
The first 2 velocity stacks push right in as expected as they are a straight shot, but the 3rd one with the out of round hole and the plastic divider in the way is quite the bitch. I'm wondering if I need to mod the box itself or something?

I'm running a hybrid setup. DIY inlet mods and Ulmers velocity stacks to enhance the midrange response. At a later time I might try the Ulmer inlet as well, but I need to get past this step first.

I ground a flat on the Excell stack so that divider support wouldn't have to be bent over.
I did a bit of a flat spot but could probably do more. Didn't want to get too carried away.
Did you manage to press it into the boot with the flat on the one spot?
Yes. It came with a flat on other side where it meets no2 stack. Is a pic somewhere.
Actually flat it came with was on bottom. I added one on side. Here about ten posts down is pic.

Yeah I cut the same added flat. What I'm having issue with is getting it into the boot since it is not round.
