Hoping these handguards will last the season. I bought a $41.99 pair MSR aluminum guards from a local cycle shop. They're what we used to call Bark Busters. I had to put on a bend on the bar end side so they'd adapt to the bar hooks on my XTX and then I simply attached my old plastic guards to the Bark Busters and now I might have a pair of guards that will withstand rollovers. We'll see. The rest of the sled is kinda neat too. Thanks to Scott at OFT and Jeff & Jake at Skinz!

Last year: 1.75 Backcountry, Lake Effect Riser, Yamaheater grips, Fox Floats on the front. OFT Relocater, Roest Vent & Speedo relocate, Rollover Valve & Tether, Yamaha Skid Plate, Yamaha MTX skis with Carl's Cycle mod, Goldfinger Left Throttle. Yamaha Shovel/Probe bag and 10gal Trail Tank.

New for this year.

Skinz XTX Airframes.
Skinz Concept 39â€￾ A-Arms.
Bumpers/Spindles Blacked by Skinz.
2012 Mountain Tamer with Fox Floats.
Under Tunnel Exhaust with a stock Vector Header (with the OFT Thistle-Doo nuts) and 2 Brothers can from a CBR600.
OFT block off plate.
Mountain Addiction gas rack.

And Hand Guards!

hmmm, would not work for me, I am hanging off the end of the bar too much...that bar would get in the way...and sadly I go over the bars enough, I would be highly worried about hand slipping in there and breaking my wrist...

I dont want anything to catch on trapped by etc. Was rag dolled by the foot bar things once on my rev. and now I take those off on every new sled, so my boot wont get stuck...Personally rather go thrugh hand guards than try and get out of back country with broken wrist...or other injury...

I use the soft guards by SKINZ, tons of coverage and if you roll it they are still in one piece.

Got a set of the Skinz hand guards after watching my brother-in-law's factory aluminum mount snap rolling his sled out of a trench.

Hey Tapex_7, Do the Skinz guards have to mount over existing guards? Or can you use them on their own? I would much prefer the Skinz guards but the description in their catalog says they have to be mounted over existing guards & I'm getting bored with breaking mounts.

Thanks Confused?....Plus, Sled Solutions also has that awesome Summer Sucks sticker which makes the cry babies I work with angry!

Ya I personally don't like the look of skinz I snapped the mount on my phaver the first ride so I tried power x worst idea the do nothin and are so wobbly do to plastic mounts I like doos tho

I'd suggest buying the Rox flextech, it's an unbreakable handguard, all the top snocross dudes run em, and have had zero problems with them. Also offers more coverage than your standard handguard

Sweetjob I just watched the Rox Flextech video on the Sled Solutions website. They look like the answer to my woes. A little pricey but I like the concept.
