One more thing to consider before canceling: We've gotten about 2inches since I took those pics and its snowing big fat flakes moderately hard right now. Dosn't mean It wont clear right off in the next 10 minutes but right now its snowing pretty good out there...
Nick, your pics don't look terrible but not any better than what I saw down my way riding today. As you stated, trails are fair but Honk reports great trails in western NY. If I'm driving 4 hours I want to have good riding for several days. We can do the ride around Cranberry in Feb. when snow is great or if I've got snow then we can have one here. I canceled my room at Stone Manor, just waiting on Honk's recommendations so I can book a room out his way.
I didn't hear back from Honk tonight. Hopefully he will call me in the morning.

I just got in from ridin, I think everyone in NYS heard we had snow! They beat it up bad. I would not feel good with doing a ride here either. Those pics don't look bad though. Sorry Honk

Just got back from riding the western part of Cattaraugus and a little of Chautauqua county. Not a bad ride but the trails are far from being worth traveling any distance to ride. Western NY is a great area to ride and it would be great to have a Yamaha ride here but I agree with Honk......we also need more snow! The local weather report is predicting 3 to 6" Tuesday night and more Wednesday through Thursday.

Yea there is great snow in places, and weak in others, and the biggy is, We got beat up bad today. I have Never seen so many sleds! We put on 240 miles today, saw the good and the bad. One day made a Huge diff! Never seen so many Boy racers spinning everything to the grass, I'm sure the farmers are gonna be happy with that. Hope we get more snow!
Hey guys. Was pretty sick all day yesterday. I rode from my house saturday. Went to west lyden, up to sportsmans on the hill, then to crowsfoot (now called whiskey jacks), down through cville to boonville, over to foresport and back home. Were trails great? No. Were they rideable and did we have fun? Of course. Id rather be out riding on not great trails then sitting home thinkin about it lol. Groomer in the hinkley area was going out grooming yesterday. And the groomer was out late friday night in the star hill area. Trails were better on way home as there had been some traffic to pack everything down. I have not cancelled my room yet. But its sounding like everyone is starting to?
So what is the concensus? Are we riding Cranberry and do I need to rebook room or is trip off????????????????????
I,m thinking about going . Of course I,m dissapointed not to be meeting everyone. My biggest concern now is driving up after tues nights possible snow storm.
Hey blue. If you go and the ride is cancelled let me know. I already got time off work as im sure most do.
I have already cancelled my room, but if everyone still wants to have the ride, I can rebook, as I am sure the rooms are still availble. As mentioned there may be 4-6" of snow Tuesday night through Wed. morning. as for me, I don't mind driving in the snow to get there. If we do get the snow forecast, it will make the riding better. We could plan on being there by 1 pm on wed., and get a half days ride in Wed. afternoon. Who still wants to GO? post on here by tonight if you still plan on going. I'm on the fence, but will give it a go, if others are going up.
Viperman and I are definitely in. I've got the time off and I plan on riding someplace!
