I finally got around to putting in the updated '17 Headlight Housing in my '14 LTX SE in which I have Rocz HIDs. Prior to this, I had adjusted my high beams to bring them down from the trees to where they were usable, however, that adjustment made the Low beams too low and I still didn't have the High beams exactly where I liked it. I was able to try the new '17 headlight housing out for the first time on our ride home last night. All I can say is the new Headlight Housing is finally spot on and for both Low and High Beams!!! I am so happy that I can use both lows and highs and didn't have to adjust them one bit. Can't believe what a difference it made for me. Super pleased right now!

Visually, I cannot see any difference with my eyes. I've read that they have moved the high beam pattern down by 5 degrees. Just got back from another ride tonight. Absolutely love it now. What's different in the new housing?

I didn't look real close but buddy said you could see a difference in the depth of the reflector. How much did that run you putz21?

I didn't even think to look at the depth of the reflector. That could be it. It ran me $105 plus shipping from Port Yamaha.
So do I understand correctly that you are using the new housing with your HID kit from Rock? I wonder if the 2017's can ditch the LED's and go HID?

Yes, I'm using the HID kit from Rock. I don't think the '17 Vipers come with LED's. When I got the new '17 housing the lights come with the housing and they are not LED.So do I understand correctly that you are using the new housing with your HID kit from Rock? Correct. The Vipers do not have LED stock. Same H4 as before.Yes, I'm using the HID kit from Rock. I don't think the '17 Vipers come with LED's. When I got the new '17 housing the lights come with the housing and they are not LED.
OK I was thinking the Viper got the LED like the Winder. Does the Winder have a completely different housing again?

My 17 with the HID's are spot on like putz21 said, high or low. Never made any adjustment from factory setting. Wife's 16 with newly installed HID's are adjusted for low only as high is in trees. But they are so bright never switch to high anyway.

Also putz21 glad that worked out for ya! I was not aware of difference in the housings but now see the big difference after running HID's in both my sleds now.

Yes and hood. Its not interchangeable like this 17 housing is. Looks like my next mod. Thanks Putz21!OK I was thinking the Viper got the LED like the Winder. Does the Winder have a completely different housing again?
