I hope this helps someone out there and eliminates or lessens any frustration/hesitation on doing it yourself. Please note that I didn't change the oil filter this time around; only the engine oil.

that was a very good post there. I actually did not know know where my chaincase drain plug was; I could of used this post a few weeks back for the engine oil. Thanks!Let me know if this was helpful at all, eh?

Yours looks like a 2008, like mine. I rarely see '08 models on the trail.

You know what a lot of us do? Remove the fill plug on top of the engine to help the oil drain better and then put a quart of fresh oil down the same hole. One quart on top, two in the tank. Then start and check the level.

Yup, 2008...17,000km with 0 issues. Love my sled!

I have about the same on mine. 11,000 miles. I had a starter relay problem once, and had to replace both fuel pumps. Not too bad over 9 seasons.Yup, 2008...17,000km with 0 issues. Love my sled!
