Hey guys really love the sounds of the new sidewinder. Would love to spring order a ltx le, but the more I think about it, I love my viper and have really sunk a lot of money into it. Don't know if I should keep it for another year and see if there are any bugs with the sidewinder, or pull the trigger? I have a list of parts I'm wondering if they would fit on the sidewinder, I know it's still really early and probably hard to tell.
- 911 clutch cover
- variety of secondary helix
- heavy hitter weights (probably to light since this sled has a turbo)
- low windshield
- tunnel bag
- curve xs skis
If anyone has any ideas that would be great. I have other things that will just have to go with the sled like the stage 4 ecu flash, evo header, excell intake and exhaust, HID'S, 4th wheel kit, hygear reservoirs for front shocks, 1.6" ice cobra track. Any idea on a price for my 2015 viper ltx se that's in mint condition with all the above with 5500km on it? (I am I Canada)

I have most of the mods you have and I love my sled, I am gonna wait a year or two, you might get $7000-7500 for your's or mine if we're lucky, I am not willing to take that big of a hit on mine, plus I like to see what everyone is saying about it the first year.

So the claims of "its just a Viper with a turbo" made by some naysayers are unfounded.......again.

Damn eh, ya doesn't look like the clutch stuff will work since it's looking like new clutches. All this money spent for nothing if I sell the viper lol. Could I pull out the ecu with the stage 4 flash and sell it for some cash and exchange for a stock ecu?

Hoping the cover will work good enough, only on the sled for summer storage. Sled is always transported in an enclosed trailer

Might be interested in ecu swap, I am in canada as well,

From what I read the tune able components of new primary are same as current clutches.

Care to exsplain your ststement further,i am a little lost in what you are trying to say,do you like the 17 sidewinder,or dought its potencial.

how was the 1.6 ice Cobra ?

I love the 1.6 ice cobra, did a lot of off trail riding in northern ontario and never had an issue with getting stuck! It definitely doesn't hook up like studs on ice but is definitely way better then nothing and it sure hooks up great on the trail. Track has been very durable it has 5500km on it and looks great and that's with a lot of trail riding in different conditions. Definitely looking at getting this track for my sidewinder as I hate worrying about throwing studs through the heat exchanger.

Its alot different! Even chassis changes on some. I think what Stain meant is that some said the Viper was just a cat with a Yamaha motor cobbed in. That was very wrong on many accounts if compared to 13 cats. Sidewinder is same thing. Very different in many small ways compared to Viper and BIG difference in power. Power changes everything!

Cannondale is right. The Sidewinder is not just a more powerful Viper in my eyes. It is not just a 3 cylinder with a blower bolted on. This sled and engine/drivetrain were engineered to handle the power. There seems to be many changes and a general evolution of the chassis that some others fail to see or acknowledge. Arctic Cats declining warranty claims also show this deal is not a one way street. It just irritates me that some people will criticize with out riding or even seeing the sled.
I would love to ride one. I may buy one in the future although I just wrote the first check to my daughters college of choice, so it may have to wait.
