Viper RTX LE clutching

Stock pink 3/2 wrap I believe shimmed ULmER helix
its bone stock, first ride with 0 miles hit 94 mph, no shims , no aftermarket helix, and its not just mine having good results, I know of two other white and blue rtx le seeing 93-94 mph on a hard packed lake , these other sleds should be seeing similar results or something else is not right (elevation, deep snow , track tension etc etc) the 15' white and blue rtx le is capable of mid ninties easy

500, where are you located? If you are anywhere from Pennsylvania to maine let me know I'd like to meet up with you and compare sleds

Talked to bender racing today he has a few ideas will post when I can get it there and get it done. Not sure exactly but he knew Why I was calling when I told him what machine I had.

then why is mine getting 94 mph out of the box, bone stock ?

I have no idea why these 3 are so sllllllooooooowwwwwwwwww. We are racking our brains to figure this out for TD Max and weasel33 and his brother.

Same with a sled I just installed the COTC for him on a 15 blue and white RTX LE and was hitting 100 this past weekend when he called me.

Nos, what was his engagement like and his rpms. Did he have any other mods? Thanks, weasel.

When both sleds left my shop they engaged at 2,700....just the same as mine and everyone I have helped. This is what's driving me nuts trying to figure out why yours and TD's sled is engaging at 3,400-3,800. Their clutches were free moving, each sled had roughly 1,000 miles and they hated they couldn't get 85-90 out of their Vipers.

weasel33 - That was when I talked to you the second time, because the guy called to inform me that he put the pink spring back in. They tried the red from their Ulmer kit and after 9 minutes on the trail only hitting 95, they went back to their trailer and swapped out the red to the pink setting it at 3-3. (When I installed their kits, they did not get the stock pink springs back from the dealer who installed their Ulmer kit...and I didn't have any lying around so they were going to try the red and change it out on their own). He did not say what conditions he was on just that he was happy to see over 100mph.

Anyone with the le from last year do any better ? Anyone do any mods over the summer ?

I was hitting anywhere from 85-95 with a turbo, got the clutches machined now see what will happen, tho I do have a 41 tooth bottom gear to put back in and play with- hoping to see 100 mph consistany with stock gearing still- just need some snow !

TD's sled, I didn't do the clutching on it that day testing, but I did test ride it and got 94mph out of it (no turbo). Asked TD to recall the GPS and it wasn't on.

Weasel's sled and his brothers sled made big improvements.... but don't remember the mph numbers.

Wish Weasel33 lived closer so I could experiment more. From the post just above yours....it seems like they hit 100mph
