I am trying to decide on what luggage to get. I heard you have to unzip two zippers on the expandable tunnel bag, sounds like a PIA. Anyone purchase the "seat pack" that mounts next to the seat? Does it keep it's shape? If I go this route looks like there may be room to possibly mount a second aftermarket bag (Skinz), that buts up against the seat pack, that I could use on overnight trips. Every day use would be the seat pack and then on occasion add the aftermarket bag. I am not a fan of the saddle bags and want to make use of the long tunnel on my LTX SE.
I am torn between this and looking into purchasing the tunnel bag that comes standard with the base model Viper. Any thoughts on how others are setting up luggage on this sled would be welcome.

I have the large expandable bag and when you shrinbk it down for just gloves and goggles you do have to close the outer zipper and then the inner one to get into the bag. There is no small pockets and the outer zipper is going to be impossible with gloves on even if you add a tether to the fob.

All of the LTX SE's I have delivered to customers so far have went out the door with the large expandable bag. They look good and not overly big, the zipper is a little bit of a pain but nothing we cant deal with. We actually cut off part of the seat latch so it wouldn't interfere with the bag as much when you have it filled up. Yamaha changed the seat latch to a different style than cat was using and I think they overlooked the accessory bag installation.

Watched my dealer try an install last week, there was no button in the package to attach the bag strap to. Did you have to order that separately? I don't believe the SE has that on them from the factory. He did call Yamaha, they ahd no clue. I did notice that the seat latch did not fit well with the bag.

They come with the larger bags, they must have been missing from the package.

I heard from my dealer today that ordering the stock bag that comes on the Viper base model is not currently an option. The parts list on the Vipers is not even out yet. Looks like the seat pack option for me. Thanks
I noticed its not a option. I just bought a AC version and will get a TY patch to cover the AC written on it. Am trying to figure out how to get a cat windshield on there also. Last year we were riding by the 15th and no sled and no accesories, service manual etc. Bummer for sure.

The stock style rear bag that comes on the base model will be an option and should be available in about a month as we currently have some on backorder. The bag and the hardware to mount it retails for roughly $100. I believe it will be the most factory/cleanest looking option out there but its definitely not an overnight type saddlebag but for daily type items it should be just the right size.
Do you have any windshields ?

What style are you looking for? We definitely have some stock style mid height shields in stock.
I will call you tomorrow. Please set a mid aside. Even if one I ordered comes in never hurts to have a spare. sma8jp962000 would be ideal if you have it otherwise any. Thank You.

Are you guys talking about this one? Is this the smallest it collapses to? Do you have any pix of it installed?
