Same HP and knowing the Doo 1200 pulls strong and will see 102 GPS what will the Viper do?

Until they release the hp numbers of the Viper which is said to be at 129, the DOO will have it covered. 1200 is 138hp, same as the Nytro. But, the Nytro motor produces 138 with the correct exhaust. There is a reason why you have not seen any videos of the 2 racing so far. From what I am told you won't either... That should tell you something. The Nytro will not beat the 1200 on top end, but are pretty much side by side mid range.
I am going to go out on a limb and say the reason why we have not seen the Viper racing the 1200 is because the Viper is way to new for that, there is not one person that owns one yet so IMO that is the main reason. If you are talking about the Nytro I can show you a few and the results are always the same and that is them trading wins. from what i see the nytro will pul ahead of it for about 1000 or so ft n then the 1200 goes by it n in some cases goes by it like it is standing still. But idk what is done to either sled, I for one did no purchase my nytro to race so 0-60 is all I need cuz i ride trails mostly and i need the get up n go the Nytro has. I think the Viper is going to be much beter trail sled then the Nytro which IMO makes it a much better trail sled then the 1200 cuz in my book the Nytro after installing skis n some tune to dial her in is as good as the 1200 in the rough stuff :yam:

Doo faster to the gas pump lol

From my findings, I'm within a dollar either way when trail riding with the two 1200's I've ridden with. So with small nytro tank I'm at the pump first. Going to a ten gallon they would probably be the same.

I was not being serious lol, I really do not care lol, its my gun is bigger than your type of post.

Gotcha. To be honest, I don't like the xp or the xr chassis from doo. But if I was looking for a 4 stroke sled, the 1200 would be my second choice engine wise behind the nytro engine.

Tough decision for next season. Always been against first year sleds and both sleds that I'm looking at are gonna be new if you can call them that.

Viper LTX SE is going to be by far the best rough trail 4 stroke on the market. Some people 50/50 say the Nytro is already the best 4 stroke on the market and the Viper is going to be way better IMO so this wont be a contest,Skidoo knows they will have to come out with something cuz i think he Viper will be competing with the Xp in the rough stuff vs the XR

There is no way the Cat skid and chassis rides nearly as good as DOOS Rmotion skid. I have a cat with this skid and its nowhere near as nice as an Rmotion, rode them both and doos ride incredible.

The Rmotion even in short track is impressive.

Lol, Andy, where do you come up with these HP numbers? Doo's 1200 on average runs 132-134 hp....the Nytro 1049 runs 138ish. The Vector 1049 is 129ish. The motor being used in the Viper is the Nytro version and Cat is already rating it at 135.

The 1200 and Nytro trade wins...fact....no point in internet racing these two sleds, might as well just wait till next season and see how it unfolds. I think this new Viper will be faster than the Nytro as it's in a more efficient chassis. JMO

Well, those numbers on the Viper are hear say... But, like I said, why aren't they showing any of them racing? About the 1200hp. They are the same as the Nytro. 135-138hp.. Do you want me to pull the numbers off dynotech to show you? You are right, the Nytro and 1200 will trade wins, but I still say the 1200 is stronger on top, but not alot... LOL.. Anyways, just MO. Also, the hp number I got came from someone that tested it last year and this year. They are trying hard to get it back.

I was referring to the Viper racing the Nytro, not the 1200...

Lol...knock your socks off...pull off about 10 lol. The 1200 does not make the same HP as the Nytro...I checked 3 on DTR's site, one was 132 and the other 2 were 135. Bondi and Cudney have both dynoed them and on average the run 132-135....I was out 1 HP lol. The Nytro motor on average is 138 or better.....but the HP is a moot point, I will agree that the Doo on average probably has a better and more consistant top end but that would be due to a more efficient chassis.

You won't see any drag races between the two because nobody owns one....only protos are out for test rides...and of the people testing them I highly doubt anyone has or will get the chance to open one up. Test rides are generally pretty controlled for liability reasons. Personally I could care less which one wins in a drag stock...mine don't stay stock for long and it then becomes a tuners game. I am actually more excited to see how this sled works out and what kind of mileage can get...should be able to go 150 miles on a tank. I am also curious to see if a new header design can eliminate the need for airbox mods...which is one thing I like about the 1200 setup...header and fuel and your at 150hp.

I will not argue over the hp. Seems you need to put on your reading glasses... lol! I have talked to cudney, Billy Howard who did the tests at dynotech, T190, Howard Hack and many others.. The 1200 broke in is 135-138. Those guys have more revolutions on the dyno, then we do in the field... Well maybe not.. But you get th point!! The Nytro is no more then that broke in.. Every dyno is different for any given day. So, I am talking on averrage here... |Those mods do not give any more than 12-13hp and if you believe there is more then that from the same mods to a Nytro, then your eyes are going blurry from your blue shaddows. LOL!!!! That chassis does not give it much more in speed, beause if that was the case the 800 etec would do a buck 20 and that has never happended.. Always enjoy a good debate Ryan...

So in your opinion you don't think the LTX SE will be in the same zip as far as ride goes vs the 1200 X?

Nope....just got back from a big ride on my turbo cat, and a buddies etec 600X with Rmotion...that doo skid is basically bottomless! seat on the doo is also incredible.

i want a light trail sled that is flickable and can be pounded, making the bumps feel like they are not there. etec with rmotion is a JEWEL.

Owning the big turbo with 260+hp at your thumb is sick! but for sunday afternoon bumps and tight twistys a 600etec with rmotion would make a great second sled

Dan
